With the development of national economy,the demand for water resources has increased along with groundwater resources have been reduced and strictly controlled in recent years.As a mode of water diversion,gravity flow long-distance water supply pipeline will be more applied in production practice.With the improvement of industrial automation level,all kinds of stations distributed on the line have changed from manual operation in the past to unattended automation or remote operation,which greatly saves manpower and material resources.In the environment of unbalanced resources in our country,there are still broad application prospects in the future.In this paper,a water conveyance project in northern Gansu Province is taken as the research object.According to the actual situation and demand of the project,a set of distributed control system(DCS)is designed and constructed and verified.The main contents are as follows:Firstly,we based on the analysis the operation principle of gravityflow Water pipeline,the control requirements of the project are analyzed a,after then the structure framework of the DCS is designed.Then the DCS is decomposed into three independent parts for hardware design and software framework design.The system composition and structure,the realization of input and output signals both functions,the network structure and connection mode,along with the main control strategies have been designed and analyzed.Ultimate selection of the main core instruments and actuators is given.Finally,the installation and debugging method of DCS for gravity flow water pipeline in Gobi environment is given,and the debugging process of monomer,control station,Joint along with load is described and analyzed.After the implementation of the design scheme,the validity and applicability of the control system are verified by the trial operation and load debugging in the process of empty pipes water injection.
