Distribution system is the power network and the electrical terminal link, is also the power system for the majority of users of important link.Distribution network automation technology as to improve city power supply reliability and power quality is one of the main means, gradually has been applied and developed.Especially in the background of the development of smart grid, Smart Distribution Grid (SDG) was put forward, distribution automation construction appears particularly important.Consider of the automation of original distribution system in Huidong County is poor, which is unable to adapt to the development of the social economy, this paper design the SDG overall program of Huidong County. Due to the reality of Huidong grid, the overall program contains master subsystem, feeder automation system, communication networks and etc. Master subsystem is using for scheduling, monitoring and control of distributed grid, constituted by graphic model library integration platform, distribution operation, monitoring and optimization, scheduling, operation and management and information exchange bus. The structure of communication network of Huidong distributed grid, based on optical fiber, is designed to adapt in Huidong County grid geographical distribution, and it selects IEC60870-5as communication protocol of the data transmission for the business needs of distribution automation. Feeder automation system design, according to the grid structure of Huidong County, is based on single-ring model to configure FTU, in order to monitor the operation of transformers, circuit breakers, reclosers, sectionalizer and reactive compensation capacitor. By the reasonable design, it's significance for the construction of the Huidong distributed automation system, and it's benefit in improving security, self-healing and power quality of Huidong grid.
