Currently,solving the problem of traffic congestion has become an important task for urbanization development,as it brings many problems to urban management.The application of urban traffic adaptive control system has alleviated traffic congestion to some extent.However,the traffic signal adjustments of adaptive control system requires high traffic data integrity and lacks flexibility.So,it's impossible to make proper control of traffic signals in the case of traffic congestion.At present,the control of traffic signal can hardly separate from human intervention.Therefore,improving the efficiency of artificial signal timing is great significance for the control of traffic congestion.For the difficulties of artificial signal timing to adjustments the traffic signal,such as high professional demands of the staff,strong dependence on the experience,and unable to achieve timely and effectively.This dissertation proposes to construct the signal timing knowledge model,development the decision support system,and improve the working efficiency of signal timing personnel.The main work of this dissertation is as follows:1.It systematically analyzes various decision attributes of congestion signal timing starting from the essence of urban congestion,and establishes the overall framework of signal timing assistant decision system.2.Establishes the signal timing knowledge base.Firstly,it proposes the hierarchical structure model of the knowledge base,then constructs the ontology category in the field of signal timing,and describe the signal timing ontology category in detail.Secondly,according to the characteristics of knowledge,uses the productional method and framework to representation the signal timing knowledge;Finally,it designs the storage model of the signal timing knowledge and raises the functional inspection method of knowledge base.3.Construct the reasoning mechanism of signal timing knowledge,including the reasoning mode of rules and framework knowledge.Focuses on the reasoning process of signal timing rules based on Rete algorithm,the reasoning process of weigthed rules,and rules conflict resolution.4.It designs and achieves the assistant decision system of traffic signal timing.The system consists of three main modules: assistant decision module,knowledge management module and user management module.By introducing the personalized map component to visualize traffic congestion sections,it can provide effective decision support for signal timing.
