Lightweight is adopted by more and more modern products because of its energy saving and material reduction.It is also one of the important ways to achieve sustainable development.The existed lightweight design and evaluation are mostly carried out at the detailed product design stage,but conceptual design is the most creative stage at the design process.At the conceptual design stage,lightweight design and evaluation of products can get lightweight products with high innovation and reliability.The method of lightweight design and evaluation of products in conceptual design starts with conceptual design for the lightweight and defines principle component,then chooses the lightweight objects from principle component based on idealization level,reduces weight for lightweight objects based on Inspire(simulation drive design software),finally,the change rate of idealization level of the lightweight object is calculated to evaluate whether the lightweight results meets the design requirements.The main work of this paper includes the following aspects:(1)Conceptual design for the lightweight and defines principle component.Gives three methods of demand acquisition,and puts forward demand processing and demand classification for lightweight definition;describes the EE-FBS process of solving principle structure,the function design of products to meet customer demand for the principle structure,then splits principle structure to principle component-minimum lightweight unit.(2)Selection of lightweight object based on idealization level of the principle component.The conclusion that analyses the relationship between idealization level of TRIZ and lightweight is that idealization level is considered in the whole life cycle cost,the harm degree of lightweight;proposes the calculation method of quantitative principle component of idealization level,solves principle component function importance coefficient based on functional analysis and model,solves the performance of the important coefficient of principle component based on transitivity of performance and QFD,cost coefficient and harm coefficient of principle component based on whole life cycle analysis and GaBi;uses the method of most suitable regional to select lightweight objects.(3)Lightweight design and evaluation based on Inspire and idealization level.Based on the Inspire design process in order to standardize the lightweight process of product,then combines the idealization level of TRIZ and the life cycle to form lightweight evaluation system of change rate of idealization level,and analyzes 4 cases of change rate of idealization level.(4)The method of lightweight design and evaluation of the product at the conceptual design stage and application.Based on the above contents,lightweight design and evaluation method at conceptual design stage is put forward,and applied to the lightweight design of portable car arrester,in order to verify the feasibility and effectiveness of the method.
