The automobile industry has to accelerate the pace of new models as the intense market competition.The traditional Body-in-White welding process planning cannot meet the requirements of shortening the production cycle of new automobile types.The body-in-white welding production line urgently needs high-efficiency,high-quality and low-cost process planning methods.Therefore,the application research of digitalized process planning in Body-in-White has become an urgent research task.In this thesis,the project "FAW-Volkswagen Qingdao Plant BORA Underbody 1" of Dalian Auto-Tech Incorporated Corporation(hereinafter referred to as Dalian AUTO)is taken as an example.The key point is to study the key technology in the Body-in-White welding process planning.It designs and verifies the Body-in-White welding process planning with digitalization.In the end the problems in the practical application are analyzed and some effective measures are put forward.The first part of this thesis explains the background and significance of studying the digitalized process planning in Body-in-White welding.It puts forward the thesis topic and ascertains the study content and methods by analyzing the current development situation both at home and abroad.Afterwards the deficiencies are found by studying the content of Body-in-White welding process planning and the existing planning methods of Dalian AUTO,such as low efficiency,poor quality,poor communication skills,poor delivery capabilities,poor data reuse,and etc.A new Body-in-White welding process planning method and digital process planning procedure are created by studying and analyzing the process.After that the method study in the phases of digitalized process planning: Process Design,Process Verification and Process Output.Digitalized Process Design.Through studying the digitalized process design method,the digitalization system is constructed and the process designs verified with experiment.Digitalized Process Verification.The experiment verification of logistics simulation,robot simulation,robot offline design and virtual commissioning get accomplished with the study of digitalized process methods.Digitalized Process Output.The communication delivery and report delivery will be realized through the digital methods.Simultaneously the process output will be completed.In this part the advantages of digitalization in process query,resource management and data reuse also get explained.Finally the conclusion of digitalized process planning in Body-in-White welding.The practice has proved that the digitalized process planning method which studied in this thesis can complete the process planning in Body-in-White welding with high efficiency and high quality.It can shorten the cycle time of designing new automobile type.Its efficiency is more than 5 times higher than the traditional manual method,which greatly improves the accuracy and rationality of the process planning.
