With the acceleration of urbanization in China, the number of motor vehicles is increasing year by year.Traffic congestion has become a major urban problem.Improving the means of traffic control and management and alleviating traffic congestion are important ways to deal with urban traffic problems. In recent years, the continuous development of traffic information detection technology provides a new thinking to optimize intersection signal timing under Limited space-time resources. At present, the research of new traffic detection technology is still limited in improving the accuracy of parameter acquisition.Making full use of the real-time data acquired by the new detection technology to mine indicators that can better reflect the dynamic characteristics of traffic flow is of great significance to the optimization of signal timing at intersectionsI have completed the following work: based on the real-time vehicle data and statistical data collected by wide-area radar traffic information detector, and taking unsaturated intersections as the research object, this paper makes a series of studies on signal timing optimization of single-point intersections in order to improve the means of traffic control and management and alleviate traffic congestion.Firstly, the technical principle and performance characteristics of wide area radar are analyzed.Based on the actual evolution process of the queue length, the calculation method of the actual number of dispersed queued vehicles is proposed, which is used as a new signal control timing parameter.Secondly, relying on the new timing parameters, the flexibility of phase switching of the two-loop phase structure and the good nonlinear approximation ability of the fuzzy control is used to build a three-stage fuzzy controller based on wide-area radar, which provides a basic timing method for a single intersection. In addition, based on the historical traffic flow reproduced by cellular automata and making the average vehicle delay as the optimization objective, the parameters of the fuzzy controller are adjusted online by using hybrid genetic algorithm to achieve the optimization of signal control timing;finally, based on real data,an intersection is simulated by MATLAB and VISSIM.Taking average vehicle delay as evaluation index, the wide area radar fuzzy controller before and after optimization is compared with timing control and traditional fuzzy control to verify the effectiveness of the method.
