The digital interface plays an important role in information security,geographic transportation and military management.The relationship between digital interface information structure is intricate,and icons are one of the main components of digital interface.How to make information effectively present and improve icon usability is an important issue in digital interface design.More and more scholars have begun to study the interface usability assessment methods and application scenarios,and the research and evaluation of the informational equipment icons from the physiological level is still scarce.In view of this phenomenon,this paper analyzes the influence of the existing equipment icon visual elements and application presentation methods on the cognitive processing process.The icon visual elements are disassembled into three aspects: graphics,color matching and spatial layout,and the influence factors of each element are explained.The different ways of superimposing the background of the actual application of the equipment icon are introduced and classified.Based on the cognitive processing theory,the cognitive basis of the user's icon is explained from the physiological level,and the recognition processing model of the equipment icon is constructed.Through the research on the cognitive processing of icons,the research status of the icon attributes in the cognitive layer and the influence of each attribute on the recognizability of icons are analyzed.For the visual elements and cognitive attributes of the icon,this paper selects the ERP(Event-related potential)EEG experimental method,supplemented by subjective evaluation method,and develops the identifiability research of the icon.Through the experiments on the influence of graphic stiffness,color matching conditions and complexity on cognitive processing,the electrode positions activated by different icon elements and the corresponding threshold value of EEG components are obtained.Finally,based on the results of ERP experiments,the EEG thresholds of different elements of icons are summarized and analyzed,and the identifiability evaluation model of equipment icons in the electrophysiological layer is constructed as a reference standard for icon design evaluation.By combining the actual examples of icons,the application of the electrophysiological threshold indicators of the equipment icons in the icon design is demonstrated.
