The medium and long term railway network plan revised and adjusted in 2008 points out that by 2020,the high-speed railway mileage will reach 30000 kilometers, and the high-speed railway network will cover more than 80% of the cities, providing strong support for the realization of the goal of building a moderately prosperous society in an all-round way and the completion of the 13 th five-year plan.High-speed railway not only means more convenient transportation, but also makes the future development of related cities more possible. However, with the improvement of people’s awareness of high-speed rail dividend, many cities around the country have launched many fierce "road struggle" around the high-speed railway routing and station setting. How to effectively use the construction of high-speed railway to promote urban economic growth is a highly concerned issue. As the transportation infrastructure construction covering the whole country, the high-speed railway construction gradually forms the high-speed railway network in the whole country. So,what kind of influence does the construction of high-speed railway network have on the location advantage obtained by each province? To what extent does it affect the economic growth of each province? In view of this, from the perspective of spatial analysis, this paper analyzes the spatial relationship between the construction of high-speed rail network and urban economic growth,in order to provide a basis for scientific layout of high-speed rail network routes and stations, and promoting the balanced development of cities. In this paper, the spatial effect of high-speed rail network structure hole on urban economic growth is taken as the research objective.Based on the panel data of 31 provinces in mainland China from 2008 to 2017,combined with the gravity model, the "structure hole" theory and Solow model,a spatial econometric model isestablished to explore the spatial effect of high-speed rail network structure hole on urban economic growth and analyze the influence and effect of each factor on urban economic growth in space. The results show that the high-speed rail network structure hole has spatial spillover effect on the economic growth of the region and neighboring regions;the capital stock and regional industrial structure have spatial spillover effect on the economic growth of the region, and there is spatial competitive effect on the economic growth of neighboring regions;the spatial spillover effect of the economic growth of each province is greater than the spatial competitive effect, and the economic growth of neighboring provinces has a positive role in promoting the economic growth of the province. Finally,on the basis of the above research conclusions, based on the realistic conditions of high-speed rail network construction and urban economic growth, taking urban development as the policy orientation and path choice as the starting point, the paper puts forward suggestions on accelerating the establishment of high-speed rail network, improving the level of education, training professional talents, etc.,as the reference for government decision-making.
