Construction Of Rural Composite Public Space

This thesis is under the background of the policy of“Beautiful Countryside”construction and the Rural Revitalization Strategy.The development of countryside is no longer simply a return to tradition or a copy of the urban model.How to make full use of internal and external resources,embrace the development of modern technology,and build a harmonious and sustainable rural human settlements environment has become a complex and urgent problem.With the deepening implementation of the Rural Revitalization Strategy and the release of the 16^th Central Document No.1 guiding the work of"agriculture,countryside and farmers"in 2019,the policy concerns of the Rural Revitalization Strategy and the rural reform and development have become more specific.Guidelines such as“filling up the shortcomings of human settlements and public services”and“stimulating rural public vitality”,indicate that rural construction has shifted from the external image construction of beautiful countryside to the level of rural human settlements and public life.Rural public space,as the framework of rural human settlements environment construction,the support of industrial upgrading and transformation,and the space carrier of public relations,is an important part of Rural Revitalization and development.However,due to the short construction time and large radiation area,problems such as uneven distribution,inappropriate scale,simple image imitation of the city,lack of local culture and single activity planning have arisen in the construction of rural public space,which not only fails to realize its important functions in rural revitalization,but also affects the continuation of rural context and the improvement of the environmental quality of villagers.Based on the study of rural public space development and the reflection and reference of the case of rural public space shaping,this study focuses on how to adapt to the trend of development of the times,how to find a way to adapt to the current situation of the countryside,meet the public needs of the village's internal and external intervention,and how to achieve sustainable development in the new era.Through relevant theoretical research and case study,this study proposes the design strategy of"Composite"rural public space,focusing on the grasp of environment,scale,space,function and materials in the shaping of rural public space.Combining with the actual project of the renovation of Xiamutang Village Rural Revitalization,focusing on the integration and remodeling of rural public space,this paper explores how to meet the needs of internal and external public activities in the process of multi-dimensional intervention in rural revitalization,reflects on the responsibilities and roles of architects involved in rural renewal,and seeks ways of sustainable development of large number of villages in commonwith Xiamutang Village in China..
