Traffic signal control is an important measure for traffic management departments to control the existing road traffic flow.With the development of society,the increasing number of motor vehicles keeps increasing the traffic pressure on urban roads.How to effectively tap the maximum potential of existing road facilities and alleviate road traffic pressure is the main problem faced by traffic management departments.Due to the continuous development of the social economy and the acceleration of the urbanization process,the existing urban road infrastructure has been gradually improved.In the past,the way to reduce traffic pressure by continuously increasing road infrastructure was because of the large investment,long cycle,and slow effect.The reason is gradually abandoned.In order to improve the utilization rate of existing urban road resources and maximize its social benefits,it is necessary to conduct a comprehensive and comprehensive evaluation of the traffic operation status of the existing urban road network.How to provide a reference for the traffic management department to formulate a new traffic control plan through evaluation;provide real-time road information to road participants;and improve the travel efficiency of travelers.In view of the above problems,this article will comprehensively evaluate the traffic signal control effect of urban regional traffic networks from three levels: intersections,road sections,and road networks.First,the effect of traffic signal control at the intersection is evaluated.Due to the numerous traffic flow parameters at the intersection,such as saturation,capacity,queuing length,delay,number of stops,etc.,this paper analyzes the correlation of the evaluation indicators at the intersection based on the different saturation of the traffic flow at the intersection.By selecting the two indicators that have the highest correlation with the saturation of the intersection,as the evaluation indicators under different saturation conditions,the traffic operation status of the intersection is evaluated based on the TOPSIS method.The second is to evaluate the traffic operation status of the road sections associated with the intersection.Compared with the evaluation indicators of intersections,there are relatively few effective evaluation indicators of road sections.In this paper,the averagetravel speed,delay time ratio and saturation are selected as the evaluation indicators of road sections.The use of gray correlation analysis method can ignore the information that cannot be obtained,and only uses With some indicators,the characteristics of the trend analysis of the target variable can be obtained to obtain the evaluation result of the traffic operation state of the evaluation road section.Finally,based on the evaluation of traffic conditions at intersections and road sections,dynamic and static evaluation indicators are selected for intersections and road sections,and an analytic hierarchy process is used to comprehensively consider multiple factors to establish an evaluation system of intersection and road section weights.,Calculate the weights of intersections and road sections by gray correlation analysis.Using the above weight calculation results,combined with TOPSIS method to evaluate the effect of urban area traffic signal control.
