The digital age needs a new enterprise transformation theory to support it.Enterprise transformation is not a gorgeous turn around,but a continuous encounter with revolutionary rupture and response to the integration of the continued historical process.Only from the development trend of science and technology of human society and the transformation of world economy and industry can we profoundly identify and interpret the globalization trend of digital economy and the unique law of China’s automobile industry development.At present,the deepening of digital economy is profoundly changing the internal and external environment of the development of automobile enterprises.Digitalization injects new spirit into the deepening reform of China’s large automobile enterprises and makes digitalization transformation an inevitable choice facing modernization and international development.The new digital era has begun.Cloud computing,Internet of Things,and Big Data technologies will be applied to all key links in the automobile industry,opening the stage for personalized,intelligent,and digital products and service models.The traditional model driven by capital investment and other factors will surely be replaced by the development model driven by digital innovation.From the perspective of innovation-driven mode selection,Germany,the United States and China are moving towards different development paths due to their different national conditions and industrial foundations.China’s automobile industry has become a historical necessity to take the road of integration of two industrializations.Digitalization has revolutionized productivity and production relations.Digitalization is the basis of transformation and the source of vitality.Research on the digital transformation upgrade path is the key to solving problems.Different from the traditional economic transformation construction logic,digital transformation construction focuses on digital industrialization and industry digitalization,and builds industry convergence and enterprise digital platforms as internal and external support mechanisms to better adapt to the changes in digital market requirements,create a digital blue ocean to achieve transformation performance goals.Based on the analysis of digital transformation theories in developed countries and China,this study explores the tasks and requirements of modern Chinese large automotive manufacturing enterprises based on the classical theory of value chain and industry value chain,and takes "PEST","Five Force Model" and "Smile Curve" as the main analysis methods,the origin,path and goal of digital transformation of large automotive manufacturing enterprises in China are systematically summarized and analyzed.In particular,this paper explains many essential issues related to enterprise development,such as transaction costs,and opens the "black box" of digital transformation and upgrade.In addition,it tries to systematically analyze the relationship between the industrial revolution and manufacturing model evolution,industry convergence and enterprise transformation,and model selection and transformation path from the perspective of industry development laws.Based on this,innovation proposes an industry value chain transformation and upgrade path based on digital technology evolution.At the micro level of enterprise digital transformation,this paper presents the construction strategy and implementation framework of enterprise digital transformation through case study.Emphasis is given on the integration of two modernizations into one management system,management innovation and technology innovation.Enhance the capability development of new technologies at the strategic,management,and technical levels to drive enterprise digital transformation.During the transformation,we will focus on organizational structure optimization,business process transformation,technological capability innovation,and business model transformation.Evaluate the digital transformation performance based on the revenue of the main business and provide targeted strategy suggestions.We strive to achieve "convergence and streamlining" and "promote new innovations" based on the cutting edge of academic research and the actual requirements of digital transformation of large Chinese automotive enterprises.Then it is beneficial to the theory of enterprise digital transformation and even to promote the development of management practice of modern Chinese automotive enterprises.
