Research On The Expression Strategy And Method Of Zen Artistic Conception In Contemporary Buddhist Architecture Design

Religious belief is a kind of cultural phenomenon produced by social development at a certain stage.It is an inexhaustible motive force for the continuous development of human society and an important part of social culture.Religious beliefs can bring us great satisfaction in the spiritual world,which is beyond the reach of economic development.Under the influence of globalization,the traditional architectural features of our country are gradually disappearing,which is closely related to the invasion of western culture and the breakdown of our traditional culture.On the contrary,religious architecture in the West has been keeping pace with the development of social culture,economy,science and technology.However,there seems to be no great change in Buddhist architecture in China.The rise of tourist activities has set off a wave of rebuilding and building new Buddhist buildings,but at present in the mainland of China,the new temple there are excessive waste,the pursuit of gorgeous,blindly retro,and modern Buddhist function demand and other issues.Based on the contemporary Buddhist architecture as the research object,combined with the actual main reasons of the slow development of Buddhism in china,to explore the design strategy of Buddhist architecture in order to explore a new possibility for the modern design of traditional cultural buildings in China,on the premise of meeting the current functional needs and conforming to modern architectural theory.Firstly,the paper briefly describes the development process of Buddhism in China for thousands of years,systematically summarizes the current situation of contemporary Buddhist architecture,puts forward a possibility of overall planning of Buddhist monasteries,and analyses the reasons why contemporary Buddhist architecture has stopped developing.Then the paper analyses the concepts of Zen,explores the significance of Zen design to the modernization of Buddhist architecture,and links the eastern Zen design with the western minimalism.Through the analysis of the characteristics of minimalism,it seeks new possibilities for the Zen design of contemporary Buddhist architecture in China.Finally,on the basis of theoretical analysis,through the study and analysis of practical cases,this paper makes a preliminary summary of the methods and Strategies of Zen expression in contemporary Buddhist architecture.The study on the modernization of Buddhist architecture is also helpful to promote the modernization of Chinese traditional cultural architecture.There are certain relationships between them.The development of Buddhist architecture in China should conform to the trend of the times and keep its own uniqueness,as in the Western religious architecture.I hope this study can contribute a little strength to the development of contemporary Buddhist architecture and the inheritance of traditional Chinese cultural architecture.
