The Renovation Of Nanjing Jishan Iron Factory Plants

In the context of the continuous expansion and transformation of cities in China,a large number of industrial buildings are gradually unable to adapt to the new social environment,and the industrial transformation and upgrading has brought vacant or abandoned old industrial buildings.In recent years,with the rapid development of urban economy,industry and culture,the old industrial buildings in the urban area are gradually used effectively,and gradually become the catalyst of the new industry.Their efficient and unique spatial quality has produced collisions with the new industry.However,it can’t be ignored that the old industrial buildings located in the suburbs are ignored because of the lack of effective industrial support and intensive labor factors,forming a negative space field.However,as an important cultural factor that can activate the new suburban space and ease the development of single city such as lying City,it should get more development opportunities under the condition of urban expansion.Taking this phenomenon as the research clue,this paper firstly defines the relevant concepts,compares the typical cases at home and abroad,combs the development context,and summarizes the suitable renewal strategies for the old industrial buildings in the suburbs.After that,by summarizing the design and renewal strategies of the old industrial buildings,the paper emphasizes the public construction strategies from the aspects of node,scale and space,and explores the transformation strategies and paths in the new urban space expansion from the aspects of space sharing,relationship between building and city,citizen participation and time dimension.Finally,the relevant research strategies are applied to the renovation project of Nanjing Jishan iron mine factory.The design discusses how to get more participation and publicity in urban space expansion and regional community renewal as a typical abandoned industrial building in suburbs.The design plan starts from the site location relationship of the factory building,the current situation characteristics of the building,the spatial structure relationship,etc.,in order to find a design path suitable for the renewal of the old industrial buildings under the urban expansion,so as to provide a universal renewal case for the renovation and regeneration of many old industrial buildings in the suburbs,and finally it forms a place where personal memory and collective memory can be placed.The whole thesis contains about 22 000 words,55 pictures and charts.
