Research On The Design Of Old Community Public Space Adaptability Renovation Under The Community Aging Model

At present,the problems of aging population,fewer children,aging buildings and environmental facilities,and decreasing working age population are becoming more and more prominent,and adopting a proactive approach to cope with the aging population has become a national strategy.Countries and regions have introduced policies related to elderly care to protect the legitimate rights and interests of the elderly and ensure that they can spend their twilight years in peace.In the 14 th Five-Year Plan,special emphasis is placed on the need to strengthen the community elderly service system,promote the integration of medical care,promote intelligent and healthy elderly services and facilities,and build an age-friendly social environment.Based on home care,community care as the main mode,and institutional care as a supplement,the ageing-friendly renovation of old communities is an effective measure to solve the problem of aging population.Old communities are generally built long ago,with imperfect infrastructure,single landscape level,unreasonable spatial division,and aging buildings and environmental facilities,which can no longer meet the needs of community residents for a better life.However,the elderly spend most of their time in the community public space,therefore,it is necessary to further improve the community aging model and strengthen the design of ageing-appropriate renovation of community public space.This paper takes the community aging model as the starting point,takes the old community public space as the main research object,selects Nanjing Luxun Park district as the design example,adopts literature research method,PSPL research method,Depth map spatial syntax analysis method,case study method,multidisciplinary cross comprehensive analysis method and inductive deduction method,combined with the actual needs and behavioral activities of the community elderly characteristics,and explores the design planning concept,design principles and design methods of the old community public space adaptability transformation under the community aging model,and provides theoretical support and practical case reference for the subsequent transformation of the same type of old community.The article is divided into seven main sections as follows:The first part of the article focuses on the background,purpose and significance of the study,and clarifies the object and content of the study.It further analyzes the research directions of domestic and foreign elderly models and community transformation,and summarizes the excellent experiences for use in practice.The second part introduces the theoretical studies and concept definitions related to the transformation of age-friendly spaces,such as: healthy cities and healthy settlements,healthy aging,environmental behavioral science and the current aging model in China.Then,we analyze the actual needs of elderly residents for space and activities for community age-appropriate spaces from both physical and psychological aspects.In the third part:excellent cases of construction and renovation practices of senior living communities at home and abroad are selected to further analyze the problems of old communities and the successes of community renovation,"taking the essence and removing the dross".The fourth part is the focus of the article,which explores the design strategies for the ageing-appropriate transformation of public spaces in old communities,including: planning concepts,design principles,integration and optimization of public spaces,recreational landscapes,and specific design approaches.The fifth section focuses on the application of Depth map spatial syntax in community public space renovation,further clarifying the connection between spatial syntax variable parameters and site space as well as the feasibility of Depth map to resolve old community public space.In the sixth part:Nanjing Lu xun Park District is selected as the site of design practice,and the PSPL research method,field research,questionnaire analysis and spatial syntactic analysis model with the help of Depth map,is used to provide scientific data reference and to combine the design strategy with the final design practice for the planning and transformation of public space in Lu xun Park District.The seventh part:the conclusion and outlook of the article,hopes that everyone will actively pay attention to the physical and psychological needs of the elderly,widely participate in community transformation,actively advise,and unite from top to bottom to build an all-age friendly and intelligent healthy settlement.
