With the increasingly fierce market competition the electrical manufacturing industry,all manufacturing enterprises are trying to improve the production efficiency of their existing production lines.They expect to reduce costs while improving product quality,which can make products more competitive.Therefore,the optimization and improvement of production lines by enterprises are particularly urgent and important.KD company is a local electric manufacturing enterprise.The company's switchgear cabinet assembly line is mainly manual operation,so the operation efficiency is low.This paper takes takes the assembly line as the research object.Firstly,on-site investigation was conducted on the existing assembly production line,and industrial operation methods such as program analysis method and stopwatch time measurement method were used to observe and record the operation content of each assembling station.Then,use Flexsim simulation software to build a simulation model for the assembly line.The model operation results show that the balance rate of the existing assembly production line is only 62.48%,the reason is that there is a lot of unreasonable operation at station 4.Based on the operation analysis of station 4,the operation content and material placement of station 4 were optimized and improved according to the economic principle of action,so that the balance rate of the assembly line was increased to 73.08% after implementing improvement measures.Then,with the help of the 0-1 integer programming theory,two types of 0-1 integer programming models for the assembly line balance problem were established and solved using Lingo software.The two types of optimal solutions obtained were brought into Flexsim software again for simulation modeling to verify the improvement of the optimization scheme.The results of the model operation show that the improved line balance rates of Type I and Type II production lines are 94% and 81.54%,respectively,and the smoothness indexes are 3.20 and 9.13,respectively.It's obviously that the balance improvement effect of the assembly line has been significantly improved.The results of this study provide some reference for managers of KD's switchgearcabinet assembly line so that they can optimize the balance of the production line efficiently.By combining IE theory system simulation software and mathematical modeling methods,this paper has achieved a good improvement effect.The research can also provide a reference for similar enterprises to conduct research on optimization and improvement of production lines.
