The 19 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China put forward a major strategy for rural revitalization,which is the key task for building a modern socialist country and also an important measure for realizing the construction of new urbanization.The current new rural construction has various problems,such as "Homogenization of villages" and "imbalanced development".The state has made a series of improvements in response to these problems.The state has made a series of improvements in response to these problems.After the state proposed the goal of building the "beautiful countryside" in 2013,it proposed a plan to cultivate "Characteristic towns" nationwide in 2016.The purpose of building beautiful countryside is to gradually promote the construction and development of new urbanization by changing the connotation and current situation of the current rural society.As one of the ways to realize the construction of characteristic small towns,the slow city model provides a reference for the development of other Chinese villages in the post-modern society.At the same time,the process from the introduction of the Slow City model to the realization of localization has also triggered my thoughts.This paper takes Yaxi,Gaochun,China's first international slow city as an example,relying on Lefebvre's theory of spatial production and the discussion on media geography as theoretical basis,and uses a variety of qualitative research methods,such as field investigation and in-depth interviews to carry out the research.This study observed the spatial transformation process of Yaxi Town as a rural area and the changes of people's daily life in the rural society.It also examined the image construction and interactive relationship changes of the media to Yaxi International Slow City from the perspective of media communication.Specifically,it focuses on the significance of new media to "International Slow City" from the perspective of space production,and explores the significance of new media to spread rural culture.It mainly makes specific analysis from the following aspects.First of all,this paper will sort out the progress of space production and slow city research,summarize the theoretical framework of space production,take Nanjing Gaochun Yaxi International Slow City as the research object,focus on the process and current situation of slow city space production from three aspects of space practice,space representation and space representation,and analyze the process of the transformation of the slow city itself and the transformation of the allocation of various elements of space.Secondly,on the basis of analyzing the transformation of slow city,this paper studies the construction process of media's meaning to slow city space from macro and micro perspectives respectively.At macro level,it studies the meaning and function of media to "secondary production" of slow city space by taking the media live broadcast of international sports events such as marathon race and yoga festival held in slow city as the analysis text.The micro-level of this study is to observe the exchange of information and social changes brought by the media from two aspects: the daily life and social intercourse space of the residents in the slow city..Finally,this study summarizes the characteristics and problems of the transformation of the international slow city.In the development process of Yaxi International Slow City,the government has gradually realized the discipline of rural society by space production.The injection of capital has become the main driving force for the development of the Slow City.How-ever,in the process of slow city development,the polarization between the rich and the poor has also intensified.At the same time,the government,the media and the capital have also promoted the reproduction of media space.The intervention of media has increased the space value of slow city.The spatial reconstruction of rural society and the reproduction of rural space by media have created spatial significance.Villagers and tourists have also created new understanding of this village on the edge of Nanjing.They can use the current tourism resources and media resources to create a better life.Through a case study of Yaxi International Slow City Space Production,I have a deeper understanding of the communication characteristics of rural space.While exploring the significance of slow city space reconstruction and media "secondary space production",according to the daily life of villagers and tourists in the slow city,the micro-level exploration of the process of spatial reconstruction of the slow city is used to take care of the role of special villages and towns that link urban and rural networks in the process of urbanization."City" case for in-depth thinking.
