Cell apoptosis attracts wide attention in the research of animal cells, which is studied very deeply in mammals, especially. However, only Diptera drosophila, model insect,is deeply studied in the insect apoptosis. The raise of expression quantity of caspase-3 which is known to be the ultimate executor of apoptosis can reflect the degree of apoptosis. Many factors, such as thermal stress, starvation, hypoxia, chemical drugs can induce apoptosis, and influence the caspase-3 expression. At present, the caspase-3 study of other insects is still weak except drosophila. We analyse quantitatively the changes of activity and expression quantity of caspase-3 of insects by kit through high-temperature processing. This paper lays the theory foundation about the effect of high temperature on insect apoptosis by conducting preliminary researches. The results showed that,in caspase-3 activity, high temperature could significantly increase the caspase-3 activity of field P.xyllostella, field P.Linne, field C.quadriplagiata, field P.brassicae Baly, field B.tabaci compared with 25 ?,while sensitive R.pseudobrassicae, field Propyleajaponica, field P.striolata, field P.puparum's caspase-3 activity were suppressed compared with 25 ?,and there was no significant difference between high temperature and 25 ?in caspase-3 activity for field Aphidoidea. In expression quantity of caspase-3,high temperature could significantly increase caspase-3 expression quantity of sensitive Propyleajaponica,P.Linne, field P.xyllostella compared with 25 ?,while field P.japonica, field C.quadriplagiata, field P.puparum's caspase-3 expression quantity were suppressed compared with 25? and there was no significant difference between high temperature and 25 ? in caspase-3 expression quantity for sensitive R.pseudobrassicae, field P.striolata, field P.brassicae Baly's.Conclusion:caspase-3 activity and expression quantity of insects can be increased by appropriate high temperature, and may be inhibited by excessive temperature. However, the effects of high temperature on caspase-3 activity and expression of different insects were greatly changed, which may be related to the differences in genetic characteristics of different species. The complicated mechanism need to be further explored in the future research.
