Antioxidant Activity And HPLC Fingerprint Of Opisthopappus Taihangensis(Ling)Shih

Opisthopappus taihangensis(Ling)Shih(C.taihangensis),endemic to China,has a closer relationship with Chrysanthemum and Ajania.The efficacy of C.taihangensis as tea or medicine is superior to Relatives genera traditional medicine Dendranthema indicum(L.)Des Monl.(C.indicum)reflected by people in place of origin.To evaluate the comparability of Opisthopappus,C.indicum,Huai chrysanthemum,Hangzhou white chrysanthemum and Trubite chrysanthemum commercially available,Opisthopappus have advantage in health products and medical value.The contents of phenolic compounds and the assessment of antioxidant activity at different growth stage in different organs of Opisthopappus and its Relatives genera C.indicum had been conducted to provide a theoretical basis for the timely harvesting period.To set up the HPLC fingerprint of Opisthopappus,to provide further evidence for rational use of Opisthopappus.The main results are as follows:1.Selected three kinds of common commercially chrysanthemum include Huai chrysanthemum,Hangzhou white chrysanthemum and Trubite chrysanthemum,Traditional medicinal C.Indicum,and this experiment mainly subject Opisthopappus as the study material.It reference that in daily life,chrysanthemum often make tea,boiling water or wine to used to health-promoting and medicinal properties,therefore,we choose water,absolute ethyl alcohol and 70%alcohol as extracts.Their antioxidant capacities,corresponding UV-vis spectra and contents of total flavonoids and total phenols of water,absolute ethyl alcohol and 70%alcohol extracts from different organs of five kinds of chrysanthemums were analyzed.According to this three aspects,to compared Opisthopappus had advantage over other four chrysanthemum in health-promoting and medicinal properties.It was found that aqueous and alcohol extracts from above five kinds of chrysanthemums exhibit antioxidant activities related with dosage.Aqueous and alcoholic extracts of Opisthopappus and Huai chrysanthemum show the stronger antioxidant activities and the higher UV-vis absorbance values than those of others.Although in vitro antioxidant activity does not truly reflect that in vivo,but compared to three varieties of chrysanthem used in traditional medicine,health-promoting and medicinal properties of Opisthopappus should be concerned.2.On the basis of confirmed that Opisthopappus have advantage in health-promoting and medicinal properties,compared with traditional medicinal C.Indicum,Exhaustive study the extracts from different organs of Opisthopappus antioxidant activities and total phenolic and total flavanoid contents changed along with different growth stages.In order to provide the theoretical basis for Opisthopappus reasonable development and utilization.The result show that the extracts from different organs of Opisthopappus and C.indicum at different growth stages possessed some antioxidant activities.The extracts from different organs of Opisthopappus show the stronger antioxidant activities,and the higher UV-vis absorbance values and the higher total flavonoid and phenolic contents than that of C.indicum.Moreover,antioxidant capacity is significantly correlated with total phenolic and total flavanoid contents,and corresponding UV-vis absorbance values.Significant correlations were found between ABTS and DPPH assays.The change trend of antioxidant activities,and UV-vis absorbance values and total flavonoid and phenolic contents of extract from different organs of Opisthopappus and C.indicum is consistent throughout the growth cycle.There are the highes values at June 9th and subsequently decreased,and then slightly elevated at the flowering period and then decreased continually.3.The establishment of HPLC fingerprinting of Opisthopappus which from the same place,Identified 12 co-possessing peaks and took quercetin as reference substance.The precision,stability,reproducibility of Opisthopappus HPLC fingerprint had adapt to the concerned requirement.By mapping the relative retention time and relative peak area,approve that the similarity in line with the fingerprint requirement.this fingerprint meethod is simple and characteristic.Moreover,to set up HPLC fingerprinting of Opisthopappus which from different organs,The result indicated that the Opisthopappus different organs have the similar finerprint,10 co-possessing peaks,and compared with Opisthopappus flower and Opisthopappus stem,Opisthopappus leaf have more value for medicinal development and utilization.The HPLC fingerprint also provide a reference for development,and quality control of Opisthopappus.
