The Prevention Of Fattening Sheep Urinary Calculi Of Traditional Chinese Medicine And Western Medicine

Objective:To induce urinary calculus in male lambs with cottonseed hulls,specific traditional Chinese medicine,Western medicine prescription and mixture of Chinese and Western Medicine were added into the concentrate,to observe the preventive effect of them on urinary calculi in lamb,and select the best prescription.Method:In this study,a high dose of cottonseed hull was added to male lamb diet to induce urinary calculus,two groups of traditional Chinese medicine and two prescriptions of Western medicine and a mixture of Chinese and Western medicine were used to test the preventive effect of urinary calculi on lamb.In 0d,30d,60d,90d and 120d,the urinary calculi were diagnosed by observing the clinical symptoms of the lamb,detecting the urethral calculi with B ultrasonic apparatus,measuring the urine pH value and the size,quantity and shape of the urine sediment.Result:In the experiment,the protective rate of 1 type and 2 type traditional Chinese medicine for urinary calculi in lamb was 83%;1 type western medicine and 2 type western medicine were 83%and 75%;a mixture of 1 type Chinese medicine and 1 type western medicine was 100%;1 type Chinese medicine and 2 type western medicine mixture,2 type Chinese medicine and 1 type western medicine mixture and 2 type traditional Chinese medicine and 2 type western medicine mixture was 91.7%.Conclusion:The combination of Chinese medicine and Western medicine can strengthen the prevention on lamb urinary calculi,and obviously improves the protection rate of lamb urinary calculi.Traditional Chinese medicine type 1(desmodium?spora lygodii?endothelium corneum gigeriae galli?plantago seed?herba pyrrosiae?dianthus superbus?aristolochiae lignum?polygonum cuspidatum?the root of red-rooted salvia?radix paeoniae rubrathe?the seed of cowherb?talc?dried tangerine or orange peel?fructus aurantii)and Western medicine type 1(ammonium chloride?hydrochlorothiazide tablets?amoxicillin powder)mixture have the best effect on prevention of urinary calculi in lambs,no sheep with urinary stones were found in the test.
