In order to select the efficient planting patterns of economic forest suitable for sand area in southern Xinjiang, the experiments were inducted in Akesu Fruit Industry Development Co.,Ltd.,Wensu County,Xinjiang, using the six year-old jujube trees and seven year-old age walnut trees as materials.Three kinds of planting patterns such as jujube monoculture, walnut monoculture and jujube?walnut, and six treatments were set up,which were jujube monoculture uphill?A1?,jujube monoculture downhill?A2?,walnut monoculture uphill?B1?,walnut monoculture downhill?B2?,jujube?walnut uphill?C1?and jujube?walnut downhill?C2?.Effect of monoculture and intercropping patterns on soil moisture, nutriens, fruit yield and quality of economic forest was inveataged by the methods combining field experiments and indoor detection. The results showed as follows.?1?The water consumptions of jujube and walnut in growth stage were mainly from irrigation water, which accounted for the total water consumption over 79%.Treatment C2 had higher irrigation amount, and its proportion to total water consumption was the largest.6 treatments of 0100 cm soil water content decreased with the increase of soil depth. The jujube monoculture?A1,A2 treatment?and jujube?walnut?C1,C2 treatment?in 6080 cm soil water content is more concentrated, walnut monoculture?B1,B2treatment?and jujube?walnut?C1,C2 treatment?in the4060 cm soil water content is more concentrated.?2?The contents of available nitrogen, available phosphorus and available potassium in the 0100cm layer soil of treatment A1 were higher higher than those in treatments A2,C1 and C2 at fruit full ripe stage.Treatment A2 had higher content of available phosphorus in the 0100 cm layers soil at bud and leaf-expansion stage.Treatment B2 had lower content of available nitrogen and available phosphorus in the0100 cm layers soil at bud and leaf-expansion stage;and the available phosphorus content was higer in fruit stone hardening stage, lipid conversion stage and maturity satge;and the soil available potassium content was higer in 0100 cm layers soil at fruit expanding satge.Treatments C1 and C2 had lower content of available nitrogen, available phosphorus and available potassium in the 0100 cm layers soil at whole growth stage.?3?The jujube yields in jujube monoculture?treatments A1 and A2?was higher than those of intercropping. The walnut yields in walnut monoculture?treatments B1 and B2?was higher than those of intercropping.Treatment A1 had higher total soluble sugar content, reducing sugar content, single fruit quality?water use efficiency and Vc content in jujube.Treatment B2 had higher kernel rate, fat content, reducing sugar content and amino acid content in walnut.?4?The comprehensive comparison found that treatment A2?jujube monoculture downhill?and B2?walnut monoculture downhill?showed relatively good performance in six treatments. The irrigation amount of treatment A1 was 433.05 mm,and its jujube yield was 478.03 kg·667m-2,its water use efficiency was the highest,1.10 kg·667m-2·mm-11 and the content of available phosphorousbin 0100 cm soil was hager in the period of fruit expanding stage and fruit crisp ripe stage; The irrigation amount of treatment B2 was 731.08 mm,and its walnut yield was the highest,229.65 kg·667m-2,its water use efficiency was 0.31 kg·667m-2·mm-1,and the content of 0100 cm soil available phosphorus was higer in the fruit stone hardening stage and lipid conversion stage, and the 0100 cm soil available potassium contents was higer in the fruit expanding stage.
