In this experiment,the vineyard of the main variety of Cabernet Sauvignon(4-year-old)in Jinshan Wine Region of Eastern Foothill of Helan Mountain,was used as the research object.The experiment was conducted for one year to study the effects of natural grass between rows on the soil,microclimate,quality of grape and wine of the vineyard,providing some theoretical basis and reference for the natural grass between rows of vineyards in Eastern Foothill of Helan Mountain.The main results are as follows:(1)A total of 30 grass species were found in vineyards of Jinshan Wine Region of Eastern Foothill of Helan Mountain,and(Halogeton arachnoideus),(Atriplex centralasiatica Hjin.),(Portulaca oleracea L.),and(Salsola collina Pall.)are benign and dominant species of natural grass between rows in vineyards of Eastern Foothill of Helan Mountain.(2)The available phosphorus,available potassium,alkali-hydrolyzed nitrogen,total phosphorus,total nitrogen and organic matter in the vineyard soil treated by natural grass between rows decreased in the early stage of treatment,and the decrease is very little in the later stage,with a further increasing trend.The pH and total salt content of the vineyard soil treated by natural grass also decreased,which could improve the salinization degree of the vineyard to some extent.(3)The number of bacteria,fungi and actinomycetes in different layers of the vineyard soil treated by natural grass increased,and this phenomenon was more obvious in deeper soil(20-40cm)than topsoil(0-20cm).(4)The treatment of natural grassplayed a role in increasing the activity of urease,sucrase and catalase,especially in increasing the soil enzyme activity of the upper soil layer(0-20cm).(5)Natural grass between rows increased the moisture and reduced the temperature of vineyard soil(0-20cm),ground surface and 50-cm canopy,and reduced the diurnal range of ground surface and 50-cm canopy,which made the vineyard temperature relatively stable.(6)Natural grass between rows increased the content of sugar,tannin,total phenol and anthocyanin in grape skin and grape seeds;the content of tannin,total phenol and anthocyanin of the wine were also higher,showing higher chrominance and stronger structure.Naturally grassing between rows in-vineyards can improve soil condition to some extent,adjust the microclimate in vineyards,and improve the quality of grape and wine,which is a good management method for vineyards in Eastern Foothill of Helan Mountain.
