Eastern foot of Helan Mountain in Ningxia wine producing area generally possesses advantageous resources such as water, light, and heat. The wine produced here has a moderate aroma, sugar, and acidity. It is one of the suitable ecological regions for Chinese wine grapes.By sampling and testing the wine grapes in the main producing area of eastern foot of Helan Mountain in Ningxia, the soil structure, texture, physical, chemical and biological properties and their correlations in various production areas were systematically analyzed to obtain the connection of different production areas, different soil qualities and wine grapes. The relationship between soil, grape quality and wine quality is to establish a perfect system of soil quality and wine grape correlation, which will provide a favorable theoretical basis and practical guidance for the sustainable development of the wine industry in the eastern foot of Helan Mountain Wine Region. The main findings are as follows:1.As for the physical structure of the soil, the soil of eastern foot of Helan Mountain vineyard showed loose pores, large bulk density, large composition of soil sand, which was over 70%,and soil aggregates were basically between 0.25 mm and 5 mm,and with the depth of soil increased. For the soil chemical properties, the soil nutrients in all production areas are mostly concentrated in the 20-40 cm,and the pH is above 8.0.The total salt content in the Hongsipu production area is significantly higher than other production, and the nutrients in the soil are more enriched; In terms of soil biological properties, the subsurface microbial biomass C,N,and P content is significantly higher than other soil layers, and its soil respiration intensity changes with microbial biomass C,N,and P changes, indicating that in 20-40 cm,increased soil respiration can increase soil microbial biomass.2.As for the dynamic changes of soil fertility and biological properties during the growth period of wine grapes, nutrients in the soil are reduced due to the absorption of plants in the period of strong growth, when the wine grape is crusted,it absorbs potassium nutrients in the soil to promote fruit growth and enhance fruit quality.Microbiological properties are similar to those of soil fertility and are particularly evident at 20-40 cm.The overall fertility of the Hongsipu production area dominated by loess soil is higher than that of other production areas, followed by the Yinchuan production area dominated by light sierozem, the Qingtongxia production area dominated by ordinary sierozem, and Yongning produced mainly by sand soil.3.Growing wine grapes on chermite soil can improve the quality of the wine grapes, and inparticular, common chermber soil significantly increases the accumulation of soluble sugar content.Compared to the light gray calcareous soil, the content of wine grapes grown in the Yinchuan production area increased by 10.35%and the ratio of sugar to acid reached 30.24%.The contents oftannins and total phenols in the fruits of Yinchuan production area reached the highest, namely 18.38 mg/g and 5.16 mg/g,which realized the accumulation of phenolic compounds.4.In the relationship between soil properties and the quality of wine grapes, physical properties:soil bulk density, soil water content and berry quality indicators are similarly related, and they are all related to titratable acid, soluble sugar, and tannin and are positively correlated. The chemical properties of soil are related to the quality of winepositive grapes to a certain extent:Soil pH has a certain relationship with all indicators, and it shows a correlation. The total salt is related to phenolic substances.Numerous nutrients and berries in different soil layers. The law of quality relations is consistent, that is,with the exception of titratable acid, all other components are positively correlated with available nutrients, and organic matter is also similar. For the correlation between effective trace nutrient elements and fruit quality in soil layers, there is no obvious rule. For wine quality factors and wine grape factors, the soluble solids, sugars and acids, tannins, anthocyanins and total phenols in wine grapes have a significant positive correlation with the corresponding indicators in wine. The chroma and titratable acid showed extremely significant correlations, and the correlation coefficient reached 0.994.The tannins in the fruit had a significant correlation with the volatile acids in the wine. The correlation coefficient was 0.992.
