The planting soil on the lawn is not only the basis for the growth and development of turfgrass, but also one of the key factors that affect the quality of the turf.In view of the problems existing in the turf-bed structure in Hunan, such as the drainage system is not perfect, and there is no stratification in the bed,the bed is mostly the whole soil or few sand, this study is based on the United States Golf Association green bed structure standards, according to the climate characteristics of Hunan and the requirements for the structure of planting soil, and planting soil layer structure of simulated sports field lawn, proportioning test of peat soil, sand and yellow soil, designed different volume percent gradient. The physical and chemical properties of the turf-bed,biological characteristics and turf characteristics of the turfgrass were observed and the quality of turf was comprehensively evaluated to screen the planting soil structure suitable for sports field lawn of Hunan. The main results are as follows:1.Soil physical properties of different soil layers: The bulk density of each treatment is between 1.09g·cm-3 and 1.31g·cm-3,increases with the increase of sand observably; The water infiltration rate is between 21.45 mm·h-1~556.22 and mm·h-1,and increases with the increase of sand, and decreases with the increase of the soil; The soil electrical conductivity decreased with the increase of sand ratio, and increased with the increase of soil carbon. The water content decreases with the increase of sand ratio and increases with the increase of soil carbon. The change of soil moisture content was not obvious in one day,and the change of the soil moisture content decreased gradually.2.Soil chemical properties of different soil layers: the p H value of each treatment was between 6.45 to 7.11,the whole soil treatment was the lowest, and the whole sand treatment was the highest. The content of organic matter is between 7.78g·kg-1 to 0.97g·kg-1,25% soil treatment and 10% peat soil treatment is the highest. The contents of N,P and K decreased with the increase of sediment concentration, and increased with the increase of soil carbon. The total salt content of the whole sand structure was in the optimum range. There were no significant differences in the amount of cation exchange between the treatments.3.Effect of soil proportion of different planting layers on biological characteristics of lawn: the plant height decreased with the increase of sand, and increased with the content of peat soil. There were no significant differences in leaf length, stem diameter, internode length, leaf length to width ratio, and internode length to shoot ratio. The root became more and more slender with the increase of sand, and became shorter and shorter with the increase of peat soil;Whole soil and 25% soil treatment had higher aboveground biomass, but lower underground biomass, the aboveground and belowground biomass of the whole sand treatment is in the medium level, and 5% peat soil treatment are good. The formation speed of 50% soil treatment is the fastest and 15% peat soil treatment is the slowest.25% soil treatment density is maximum, more than 300 branches·dm-2;50% soil treatment density is low, less than 200 branches·dm-2.The NDVI index of each structure was between 0.574 to0.772,and the green index is between 2.84 to 4.31,total sand treatment is the highest.4.The quality grade of 75%,and the whole sand treatment is?,which is excellent, and tother treatment is ?,which is good.Under comprehensive consideration,The 75% sand treatment is suitable for the construction and maintenance of low cost sports turf, and the whole sand treatment is more suitable for high maintenance sport turf.
