Shanghai Yangtze estuarine nature reserve for Chinese Sturgeon is located in the north-east of Shanghai,is an important place of migration,feeding,growth and physiological adjustment for Chinese sturgeon.Meantime there are many treasures endangered wildlife around,and also affect migration,feeding and spawning.As a protected area of estuary type in China,the Chinese sturgeon reserve not only protects the biodiversity of the Yangtze estuary,but also maintains the ecological environment of the Yangtze estuary.Nowadays,the situations of Chinese sturgeon resources and population protection still very grim,so that the strength of protection needs to be further improved.As for other economic species resources in the protected area,such as Coilianasus,once a traditional species in the lower reaches of the Yangtze river,it has produced extremely high yield,which accounts for the 35%~50% of the natural catches of the Yangtze river fishes.But over the years,Coilianasus has not formed fishing season in Yangtze Estuarine nature anymore,the population and the individual miniaturization is serious,the resources are endangered.Therefore,the research on the Chinese Sturgeon Nature reserve in the Yangtze Estuarine nature has become an urgent project.With the development of computer science and geographic technology,the exploitation and storage of information has become a new direction in all walks of life.For the protection of the Chinese sturgeon in the Yangtze estuary,the development of an intuitive and efficient management information system(MIS),which utilizes the unique visual interface of information technology,can not only improve the level of fishery management,and realize the superposition of environmental data and statistical analysis in information system,but also can provide reference and help for fishery management personnel,thus planning an effective management strategy.Yangtze estuarine nature reserve for Chinese sturgeon information management system based on the survey data from year 2012 to 2016,the geographic information data,and the management department daily workflow,using Visual C# development environment,ESRI Arc Engine develop components and SQL Server database technology to develop this management information system.Based on the geo-spatial information frame of electronic chart,this system realized the visualization information of online login,real-time fetch and update database,output of the population and geographical space distribution in the protected area,statistical analysis of the biodiversity index,drawing the related statistic chart and so on.The main works of this paper are as following: 1.According to the status of the protected area,comparing with the traditional habitat analysis of biological population,the feasibility of using MIS can be provided in scientific research.The aim is to improve the efficiency of the management and planning of the protected area,and to provide reference for the research of Chinese sturgeon in Yangtze estuary.2.To introduce the relevant basic knowledge.It mainly introduces the technology and architecture,hardware and service that need to be used in the development of this system.3.To conduct a comprehensive analysis of the requirements of the MIS and to develop and design the system according to the requirements.4.Design this MIS function,develop and test the function and integrality of the system,the application example shows that the system can statistic,analyze,query and display the population quantity and its geo-spatial distribution information.In the future,with the application of new technologies such as cloud computing,large data and so on,it will provide more comprehensive and scientific intelligence and information support for the protection of Chinese Sturgeon in the Yangtze estuary by fully exploiting the multivariate data such as geography,resources and environment of the protected area,optimizing the statistical information model and visualization analysis method.
