Establishment Of Resource Integrated Management Information System For Maershan Forest Farm Based On GIS

With the combination of geomatics, computer, digitalization, intelligence and visualization technique, taking forest resource survey data and map data (including relief map, stock map and some subject map) of Maoershan forest farm as the information resource, the forest multi-resource management information system was established to realize the forest visualization management based on the development platform of VisualBasic6.0 and the method of developing GIS module with MapObjects2.4.The main functions of forest multi-resource management information system are list as follows:(1) Function of view module is to browse, modify, edit, add and delete map layer, the user can browse the interested area expediently and rapidly.(2) The data revision module can modify and edit the spatial data and attribute data to reflect the variety of forest resource.(3) The information query module provides two query methods, one is to query the attribute according to the spatial location and the other is to query the distribution area according to the attribute of some geographical entity. When the query condition is input the relevant primitive can be find with protuberant and bright status in the view.(4) The thematic map module can summarize and analyzes the distribution of every thematic map, such as the distribution of tree species, age class and traffic.(5) GPS module can determine the central point of each subcompartment and get their geographic coordinate.(6) Resource statistics module can statistic and analyzes the factors such as forest dominant species, forest ownership and crown density and create distribution map of area and cumulating.(7) Forest prewarning module of plant diseases and insect pests can supervise the diseases and insect pests in every working unit in Maoershan forest farm. It can be judged by input humidity, temperature, longitude and latitude into the prediction model.(8) The query module of forest fireproofing route can determine the location of fire suppression team and fire plot by click the map or input coordinate. It can also simulate the routines and select the optimal one. The fire suppression team can select correct routines and use least time to put out the fire.The establishment of forest multi-resource management information system can provide a convenient, rapid, correct and effect management mode for forest basic unit and provide technique support for forest worker.
