With the improvement of related theories and the maturity of computing technology,computer aided design technology is widely used in various industries.Especially in the machinery industry,computer aided design has become a necessary means of mechanical design,and has obvious advantages in improving product design quality and shortening product development cycle.But the development of the industry have unbalanced problem,such as in the design of agricultural machinery industry,the use of computer aided design is relatively lagging behind,there are many problems worth studying,especially in the whole process and other aspects of computer aided design in agricultural machinery design,more worthy of in-depth study combined with the characteristics of agricultural machinery.Taking the folding wide boom sprayer as an example,referring to the operation requirements of agricultural machinery,according to the relevant standards,the CAD system is applied to complete the main process of the structural design of the sprayer.The purpose of this paper is to design a wide range sprayer with the characteristics of height adjustment,elevation adjustment,folding,trafficability and good stability of work.The feasibility of applying virtual prototyping technology,mechanical system dynamics analysis method,parameterized design method and optimization design to agricultural machinery design and the general steps of design process are also discussed.The main contents are as follows:(1)According to the actual requirements of agricultural production and related standards and specifications,the basic structural parameters and working parameters of sprayer are determined,and the main structure and operation plan are determined.(2)A boom lifting mechanism and elevation adjusting mechanism are designed.A single cylinder control mechanism is designed,and the folding and unfolding of the boom on both sides are controlled simultaneously.The basic principles of the design should be as lightweight as possible to achieve flexible and effective control of the movement of the mechanism.(3)In the design process,from the design and calculation of structural parameters,the determination of the size of each mechanism,the strength checking of components,the optimization of structural parameters,the analysis of general assembly process,and the dynamic analysis of the whole machine,the CAD system is used as far as possible.The optimization of the structural parameters and the rationalization of the operating parameters are achieved.The sprayer designed through the design has the largest width of 12 m,The maximumadjustable height is 0.6m,the two sides of the boom elevation can be adjusted independently,the adjustment range is ±15 degrees,and the total quality can be controlled within 400 kg.Through virtual prototyping,the simulation analysis under different working conditions has no interference.The strength of the main components meets the working requirements,and the dynamic characteristics of vibration are good.Through the technology application of software system,it is found that the general computer aided design can completely meet the basic requirements of agricultural machinery design,which is feasible and operational,and provides a new idea and method for the design of agricultural machinery and equipment.
