Comparative Analysis Of Body Measurement And Body Weight Between Inner Mongolia Arbas Cashmere Goats And DaqingShan Goats

Inner Mongolia Cashmere goats(IMCGs)is famous dual-purpose breed producing cashmere and meat in China.Arbas and Daqingshan belongs to two breed lines in IMCGs.Body measurement and body weight are important economic traits of IMCGs,which have obvious effect on meat production and economic income.Therefore,it is essential that the correlation between growth traits and impact degree of body measurement on body weight were discussed.All of these will provide theory guide for breed work in the two lines.The key body measurement traits(body height,body length,Chest circumference,tube circumference,chest width,chest depth and hip width)affecting body weight were determined by using variance,correlation and regression analysis.The results are as follow.1.The comparation results between body measurement traits and body weightwere obtained.The results showed that the tube circumference has high significant difference between the two breed lines(P<0.01).The breed lines of Arbas and Daqingshan had significant effect on hip width,but the marginal significance in body weight was found between the two breed lines.2.The correlation coefficient between chest depth and chest depth in ArbasCashmere goats was high.However,chest width and body weight had positive and high correlation in Daqingshan goats.3.The optimal formulas of body measurement traits on body weight wereobtained using regression analysis.It was found that body height,body length,chest circumference,tube circumference,chest width,chest depth had impact on body weight at both of two breed lines.All of these indicated that body measurement traits had a certain relationship with body weight in the two goats breed lines.Nevertheless,the impact degree between two goats breed lines are difference.
