In order to study the effect of row spacing on agronomic characters, yield and quality of Nongda 8,Nongda 8 was used as experimental variety, with split-plot design and row spacing as main plot(three levels, expressed in X1?X2 and X3,respectively).And the plant density was a split-plot(four levels, expressed in M1?M2?M3 and M4,respectively).By analyzing the morphological index of Nongda 8(plant height, stem diameter, leaf area and etc),chlorophyll content, leaf area index, fluorescence parameters, photosynthetic parameters(net photosynthetic rate, stomatal conductance, intercellular carbon dioxide concentration, transpiration rate, etc.),quality(protein content, fat content),yield and composition factors, etc,The results show that:1.At different growth stages, the plant height of millet showed the trend of fast growth in early growth stage and slow down in heading and flowering stage.Stem diameter increased rapidly in the early growth stage, reached its peak at grain filling stage, and declined at maturity stage.Leaf area increased rapidly in the early growth stage, reached its peak at flowering stage, and decreased during grain filling stage. In different row spacing, plant height and leaf area showed the tendency of X2>X3>X1,and the stem diameter at different growth stages of X2 treatment was significantly better than that of other treatments. At different densities, plant height showed high density plant height higher than low density plant height, reaching a significant level at jointing stage, and no significant difference at other growth stages.Stem diameter and leaf area showed lower density than dense height at different growth stages, but no peak value. In 12 treatments, the leaf area index of X2M2 was the largest and the leaf area index of X1M1 was the lowest, and the leaf area index of X2M2 and X1M1 reached the extremely significant level. The leaf area index showed the trend of X2>X3>X1 in different row spacing, the difference between each treatment was significant. The leaf area index showed a significant trend of M2>M3>M4>M1 among different densities, and M2 was significantly higher than M1?M4 treatment, but there was no significant difference between other treatments.2.The study on the chlorophyll, fluorescence and photosynthetic parameters of Nongda No.8 showed that there were different trends among the 12 treatments(chlorophyll a,chlorophyll b,Fv/Fm,qP,net photosynthetic rate, stomatal conductance, transpiration rate,etc.).But most of the peaks occurred in X2M2 treatment(30 cm,25,000 plants/mu).The results of significant analysis showed that the effect of row spacing on the research factors was greater than that of density, and the variance analysis showed that the interaction between row spacing and density was not significant.3.The study on the quality, yield and composition of Nongda 8 showed that there were significant differences in protein content and fat content among different treatments, and the maximum appeared in X2M2 treatment. The analysis of variance showed that the protein content and the fat content reached a very significant level between the row spacing and the density. The effect of row spacing and density on the quality of millet was significant.Among the factors of yield composition, the ear length, ear diameter, ear weight, grain weight per ear,1000-grain weight were higher in X2M2 treatment than in other treatments.Yield showed a trend of X2>X3>X1 between row spacing.Yield under M2 treatment was higher than that of other treatments, row spacing and density had a very significant impact on yield. Therefore, the optimum arrangement of Nongda 8 in Jinzhong area is that the row spacing is 30cm and the density is 25,000 plants/mu.The reasonable allocation of plant spacing in Nongda 8 area can effectively improve the utilization efficiency of light energy of the population and increase the yield.
