Research on the livelihoods resilience not only helps to understand the adaptation strategies and development needs of the poor and vulnerable groups, but also helps to promote the sustainable development of social ecosystems.Farmers as the main providers and beneficiaries of ecosystem services in key ecological function areas, farmers' livelihood resilience not only affects the sustainable development of the region, but also influences the national ecological security. At present,it is urgent to scientifically evaluate the livelihood resilience of farmers in key ecological functional areas and reveal the influencing factors in order to provide reference for seeking effective regional development policies. In a case study of Yellow River Water supply areas plateau as an example, based on the household survey data, the framework of livelihood resilience assessment is constructed from three dimensions, buffer capacity,self-organization and learning.Based on the comprehensive evaluation of the livelihood resilience characteristics of different types of farmers and different regions, the key factors affecting the livelihood resilience of farmers and their interaction effects were identified by using multiple linear regression model. The results showed that.(1)The overall level of livelihood resilience of farmers in a case study of Yellow River Water supply areas plateau was relatively weak, among which,self-organizing of farmers was significantly higher than their buffering capacity and learning.(2)There are differences in the livelihood resilience of different farmers.Among them, with the increase of family size, income, age of head of household and education level, the livelihood resilience tends to increase.(3)There are differences in the livelihood resilience of farmers in different regions. The economic demonstration area to the key protection area to the rehabilitation area, the livelihood resilience and self-organizing ability of farmers tend to decrease, but the buffering ability and learning ability of farmers in the economic development zone are higher than those in other regions.(4)It is quite different that the impact of internal and external factors on farmers' livelihood resilience.Among the policy of returning grazing land to grassland, the householder age, diversity of livelihood, family size and environmentaldependence are the key factors affecting the resilience of farmers' livelihood. At the same time,we put forward the countermeasure proposal that improves farmer household to restore ability.(5)In the external construction of livelihood resilience, the contribution of family characteristics was the largest, followed by social economy and natural environment. Finally,we put forward some countermeasures and suggestions to improve farmers' livelihood resilience.
