The experiment was carried out in Chiping demonstration base of Liaocheng academy of agricultural sciences from 2017 to 2018.The peanut cultivar huayu 25 and cotton cultivar liaomian 19 were used as experimental materials.Peanut and cotton 4:4(H4M4),6:4(H6M4)and 4:2(H4M2)intercropping patterns were set up,and compared with monoculture peanut(DH)and monoculture cotton(DM).The effects of different intercropping patterns of peanut and cotton on physiological characteristics, soil nutrients, quality and benefits of peanut in later growth stage were studied. The main results are as follows:1 Effects of different intercropping patterns of peanut and cotton on the later growth characteristics of peanutDifferent intercropping patterns promote the growth of peanut stem and branches, reducing the number of green leaves, peanut dry matter accumulation and leaf area index of peanut, easy to cause the growth of peanut and lodging.Compared with different intercropping modes,4:2 intercropping mode had the least impact on peanut.2 Effects of peanut and cotton intercropping patterns on physiological characteristics of peanut at late stageDifferent intercropping patterns significantly reduced chlorophyll content, photosynthetic rate, root activity, nitrate reductase activity and antioxidant enzyme activity in peanut leaves.Compared with different intercropping patterns, the activities of nitrate reductase and antioxidant enzymes in peanut intercropped at 6:4 and 4:2 were significantly higher than those in peanut intercropped at 4:4,and the content of malondialdehyde was significantly lower than that in peanut intercropped at 4:4.The photosynthetic rate of intercropped peanut at 4:2 was significantly higher than that of other intercropping treatments.Root activity of intercropping peanut at 6:4 was significantly higher than that of other intercropping treatments. The results showed that the intercropping patterns of 6:4 and 4:2 were better.3 Effects of different intercropping patterns of peanut and cotton on soil nutrient contentDifferent intercropping patterns increased total nitrogen content of soil, improve the effect of the cotton belt with more than peanut.Peanut and cotton intercropping improved the content of soil available phosphorus and potassium content, improve the effect of peanut with more than cotton belt.Comprehensive analysis showed that 6:4 intercropping mode was the best mode to improve soil nutrients.4 Effects of different intercropping patterns of peanut and cotton on yield, quality and comprehensive benefits of peanutAlthough different intercropping patterns significantly reduced peanut and cotton yields, the gross economic output value increased compared with monoculture cotton.Different intercropping patterns significantly reduced the number of fruits per plant, the content of crude fat, sucrose and soluble sugar, and significantly increased the kernel yield and protein content of peanut.Different intercropping patterns compared 6:4 intercropping peanut yield was the smallest, economic output is higher than other intercropping treatments. And only 6:4of intercropping pattern of LER is greater than 1,indicating that it has the obvious advantage of intercropping. In conclusion, the 6:4 intercropping mode of peanutcotton is the best one to ensure the overall benefit.
