With the acceleration of urbanization in our country,urban land is becoming scarce and greening area is becoming less and less.Thereafter,there are various ecological environment problems such as heat island effect,noise pollution,haze(PM2.5).Therefore,some large and medium cities in China began to vigorously promote various plant walls in recent years.There were 45 types of plants,including 29 types of herbs and 16 types of woody plants used in seventeen matrix walls investigated in Guangzhou.Scindapsus aureus,Chamaedorea elegans,and Nephrolepis cordifolia are the most frequently used plants in indoor matrix plant wall,while Nephrolepis cordifolia,Schefflera octophylla and Zebrina pendula are in outdoor.In matrix plant walls,there were four categories such as Patrick Blanc type,bag type,planting box type and module type,there are many technical and post-maintenance management problems.Based on this,a water culturing plant wall was developed by us,including these contents such as,induction of hydroponic plants,accessories and installation and supplement lamp design.Compared with water culturing,there were higher utilization ratio of water and fertilizer,faster plant growth and lower production cost for mist culturing.So,a mist culturing plant wall was developed by us,including these contents such as frame structure,irrigation system,planting box and so on.Designs and manufacture had been basically successful,but further improvements were still needed.The temperature and humidity of some matrix plant walls such as Victoria Square,Oriental Baotai Square,W-Coffee store and water culturing plant wall of One Meter Forest Co.were studied.The results shown that the matrix plant wall can improve the humidity in the air,there was the more obvious the effect on the humidity as the larger the area of plant wall,there was the greater the effect on the temperature and humidity in the air as the richer the plants in the plant wall.PM2.5 change was measured and analyzed on the indoor and outdoor water culturing plant wall by hand laser measuring instrument.The result shown that,when the vertical distance is fixed,the influence of water culturing plant wall on PM2.5 becomes smaller and smaller with the increase of the horizontal distance of measurement site,the hydroponic plant wall had no significant effect on PM2.5 when the horizontal distance exceeded 3 m.It can significantly reduce PM2.5 concentration by indoor water culturing plant walls compared with ordinary building walls,PM2.5 concentration was decreased gradually as with the increase of horizontal distance and the delay of measurement time.It had somewhat effect on PM2.5 concentration by outdoor water culturing plant walls as the horizontal distance was less than 0.5 meter,while had no effect as the distance more than 1 meter.
