Animal welfare means protect animal's health, comfortable and happy living by using some breeding behavior and providing the external environment according to the biological characteristics of them.Good animal welfare behavior helps to increase economic benefit.Shandong province is the main pork producing province in China, and pork is the main varieties of meat consumption by consumers in Shandong province. But the safeguard level of pig welfare still has a gap compared with developed countries or regions, which not only affects pork quality, but also affects the long-term development of Shandong province's pig-breeding industry.Pig-raising households and farms'animal welfare behavior has major impacts on the safeguard of pig welfare from the source.Combining the industry economic position construction task of‘SDAIT-08-11'2,this paper will according to the requirements of the theory of planned behavior, information asymmetry theory, government regulation theory, evolutionary game theory and pig welfare's relevant requirements, aims to improve the behavior of pig-raising households and farms in Shandong province, and comprehensively uses methods of questionnaire, model analysis and simulation, focusing on the basic theory, descriptive analysis, measurement analysis, evolution mechanism analysis, suggestions and other aspects of pig-raising households and farms'animal welfare behavior in Shandong province by literature review, field research and interviewing experts. This paper introduces the relevant concepts of animal welfare, the basic characteristics of pig and the requirements of pig welfare in breeding, mainly analyzes the contents and functions of pig-raising households and farms'animal welfare behavior. The research shows that pig-raising households and farms'animal welfare behavior is a dynamic evolutionary process, which based on awareness, mainly driven by improving their competition and realizing the maximum of interest and the contents of that are coordinated.Based on 439 questionnaires from 17 cities in Shandong province, firstly, this paper analyzes pig-raising households and farms'awareness of animal welfare on the whole, secondly, describes and explains pig-raising households and farms'awareness and behavior of animal welfare from the aspects of physiological, environmental, health, behavioral and psychological welfare. The results are as follows:most surveyed pig-raising households and farms only have a simple understanding of animal welfare, they have a lower awareness of its details.Pig-raising households and farms have a higher awareness of pig'physiological, environmental and health welfare, but have a lower awareness of pig's behavioral and psychological welfare. Some pig-raising households and farms take irregular behavior on the aspects of maintaining clean of food and drinking water, piggery disinfection, environmental enrichment and establishing a good human-animal relationship.Based on 439 questionnaires from 17 cities in Shandong province, firstly, this paper uses ordered Logit model to determine the influencing factors of the pig-raising households and farms'willingness to implement animal welfare behavior, and then uses the ISM model to clarify the relationship of the influencing factors. The results show that the years of education, breeding model, specialization, the awareness of the details of animal welfare and quality assurance, behavioral attitude and the degree of government support have a significant positive impact on the pig-raising households and farms'willingness to implement animal welfare behavior.Among them, behavioral attitude and the degree of government support are the direct factors of surface layer, the awareness of the details of animal welfare and quality assurance are the middle indirect factors, the years of education, breeding model and specialization are the deep root causes.Firstly, this paper uses evolutionary game model to analyze the evolutionary process, evolutionary stable strategy and its influencing factors between government and pig-raising households and farms considered the price and cost when pig-raising households and farms didn't implement animal welfare behavior, the added price and cost when the animal welfare behavior was implemented, the probability of the added price can be saled when the government didn't encourage, the government's cost, subsidies and reputation when the encouragement was implemented and industry economic benefit. Then, this paper uses simulation to verify the rationality and accuracy of the model and conclusions. The specifically appears as follows:reducing the cost of pig-raising households and farms implemented animal welfare behavior and government's encouragement, proper raising the price of pig when the animal welfare behavior was implemented by pig-raising households and farms, increasing the government's reputation and industry economic benefits will be meaningful to promote the system evolves to?implement, encourage?,that's will protect pig welfare in breeding. In order to optimize animal welfare behavior of pig-raising households and farms in Shandong province, this paper puts forward some suggestions from three aspects:pig-raising households and farms should learn the relevant animal welfare knowledge, enhance their production and management characteristics, enhance the sense of responsibility and improve the animal welfare behavior.Government should perfect the mechanism of education, strengthen animal welfare propaganda and education, positive lead pig-raising households and farms to the scale and the standardization direction development and strengthen the support to improve the animal welfare behavioral level of pig-raising households and farms.Customers should strength the awareness of animal welfare and promote information symmetry to relieve adverse selection.
