At present,the development trend of forestry observation technology and equipment has gradually evolved from the leading role as 3 S forest survey technology towards the direction of precise,intelligent and networked systems.With the optimization of image recognition algorithms,reductions of sensor cost,and Internet technology development with industrial manufacturing upgrading,realizing the integration of forest observation is a new concept in the development period of intelligent equipment,also an inevitable development of modern forestry monitoring technology.Traditional field processes are complex and time-consuming,while data logging and document storage in internal surveys are error-prone,so the separation of internal and external work is the weak link of forest observation development at present.Due to its advantages of compact size,light weight and low power consumption,palmtop super station has met the quality of field precision observation now,adopting convenient and practical Android operating system and its powerful internet open source library support.So that it is possible to develop an integrated system for forest observation based on palmtop super station.In view of the current research situation at home and abroad,the key technical principles and methods of observation system construction are discussed in detail,and the connotation of the integration of internal and external work is comprehensively expounded.By means of the principles of dendrology,forest management,photogrammetry,image recognition and sensor technology,using Java language in Android studio development environment to build the system platform,an integrated forest observation system based on palmtop super station has been developed.The single-chip photogrammetric tree module,national forest inventory module and forest raanagement inventory module are implemented,so as to obtain single wood image information or stand parameters and other data through observation in the field,and the result form that generates a single wood or forest factor parameter can be transferred to a built-in post-processing program,which achieves the concept of internal and external work integration.After testing function and performance of the system,the overall function is good and able to meet the forest observation requirements of forest workers,and that results of observation accuracy verification show that the method meets the requirement.It has been promoted and used in Liaoyang forestry system,increasing the level of investigation,management and management of forestry practitioners,which has brought significant economic and social benefits and ecological benefits.
