Radish is the second largest vegetable species in China,but at present,its mechanization and automation in harvest is low.Most of the existing harvesters aim at common root-stem crops,and some manufacturers will use these root-stem harvesters to reap radishes after modifying them,which will cause large damage or leakage.Raising the level of radish harvesting mechanization is of great significance to improve the working efficiency of farmers,reduce cost and increase efficiency,and increase the enthusiasm of farmers in planting radish.Aiming at the planting model of Chinese radishes and drawing on the harvesting experience of other root crops,this paper,with regression analysis,discrete element simulation and other methods,designs a notched disc radish combine harvester that can realize that the harvester will automatically regulate the cutting height and digging row.The main research contents and conclusions are as follows:1)Regarding Wixian Radish as the research object,this paper will measure its physical and geometric characteristics,conduct the extraction and the cutting test,and carry out regression analysis to study the relation between geometric characteristics of radish and extraction force by Origin Pro 2015.The data shows that the larger the surface area and volume of the radish are,the greater the extraction force is.The effect of water content of stems on the shear strength was studied.The data shows that the shearing force and shear strength of cutting stems and leaves gradually decrease,as the water content of them increase.2)This paper formulates the harvesting process of the excavated radish combine harvester formulated.The main work processes include the steps of collecting leaves,cut,excavation,throwing,clearing,conveying,packing,etc.Combining with test data,this paper designs the key components of the radish combine harvester and models with SolidWorks software.The diameter of the contour wheel is determined to be 400 mm,the diameter of the cutting disc cutter is 500 mm,the speed is 350 r /min,and the cutting angle is 20°.Determine the diameter of the notched disc digging shovel is 670 mm;the horizontal axis angle between the two shovels is 14°,the declination angle on the vertical axis is 10°;the maximum distance between the indented lines is 200 mm,the minimum distance 30 mm;the notched disc excavation shovel has a depth of 120 mm.The conveyor line speed is determined to be 1.6 m/s with a pitch of 70 mm.The modal analysis of the kicker wheel is carried out to verify that the kicker wheel does not generate resonance,which ensures the reliability of the kicker wheel.3)By EDEM discrete element analysis software to simulate the excavation process,it is found that the smaller the deflection angle of the disc shovel on the vertical axis is,the smaller the excavation resistance is.When the declination is 24°,power consumption is reduced to lowest while requirements of process are ensured.Through the static analysis of the disc digging shovel,the maximum deformation and maximum equivalent stress of the digging discs with different declinations meet the working requirements,and the stress is minimum at the declination 2?=28°.It is verified that the optimal parameters of the disc digging shovel are the declination 2?=28° and the opening angle 2?=20°.In this paper,the radish combine harvester model is designed by studying the mechanical properties of between the radish roots and the stems and leaves.The simulation software is used to detect and optimize the parameters of each key component,which provides theoretical support for the development of the excavation radish harvester.
