Cucumber and watermelon are the world’s horticultural crops.In the cultivation process,seedlings are transplanted,and nursery has become an industry.With the continuous development of the nursery industry,the demand for seedling substrates is also growing.The traditional seedling substrate mostly uses peat as the main raw material,and peat is a non-renewable resource.With the limited exploitation of resources,it is an urgent problem to find a seedling substrate that can replace peat.Agricultural organic materials can be used as a seedling substrate after scientific treatment.This experiment uses Heilongjiang Province’s rich agricultural organic materials as the main raw material.For the seedling needs of cucumber and watermelon,two forms(the tray seedling and substrate block seedling)are designed.The formula was used for comparative experiment of seedling effect,wherein the matrix formula of the seedling seedlings was(T1,T2,T3,T4,T5),and the substrate formula of the substrate block was(K1,K2,K3,K4,K5),respectively,which were commercial substrates(CK).And the commercial matrix block(CK2)as a control.The experiment systematically studied the physical and chemical properties of different seedling substrate formulations and the effects on seedling growth and physiology.The results obtained are as follows:(1)The effects of the five tray seedlings on cucumber seedlings were as follows: T3,T4 and T1 were suitable for cucumber seedlings,and T2 and T5 treatments were not suitable.The results of the specific measurements are as follows: The difference in emergence rate and CK treatment between T3 treatment was not significant,and the other 4 treatments were significantly lower than CK treatment;The number of days of T3 and T4 treatment and CK treatment reaching each physiological seedling age is the same and is the least used;There was no significant difference between T3 treatment and T4 treatment and CK treatment in root activity and chlorophyll content.The other three treatments were significantly lower than CK treatment.The T3 treatment had the highest seedling index,which was better than CK treatment.The CK treatment was second.The difference between T4 treatment and T1 treatment and CK treatment was not significant.It was close to CK treatment,and T2 and T5 treatments were significantly lower than CK treatment.(2)The effects of the five tray seedling substrate formulas on watermelon seedlings were as follows: T3 and T4 treatments were suitable for watermelon seedlings,and T1,T2 and T5 treatments were not suitable.The results of the specific measurements are as follows: The difference in emergence rate of T3,T4 and CK treatments was not significant,and the other three treatments were significantly lower than CK treatment;The number of days of T3 and T4 treatment and CK treatment reaching the respective physiological seedling age is the same,and it is the least used,and the other three treatment days are more than the CK treatment;In the root activity,T3 and T4 treatments were higher than CK treatment but the difference was not significant,and the other three treatments were significantly lower than CK treatment;In the chlorophyll content,T3 treatment was significantly higher than CK treatment,T4 treatment and CK treatment were not significantly different,and the other three treatments were significantly lower than CK treatment.The seedling index of T3 treatment was significantly higher than that of CK treatment.The difference between T4 and T1 treatment and CK treatment was not significant,and T2 and T5 treatments were significantly lower than CK treatment.(3)Among the five formulations of the cucumber-watermelon general-purpose seedling block,K3 treatment can be used as a cucumber watermelon seedling matrix block formula,and the other four treatments are not suitable.The results of the specific measurements are as follows: The difference between the crush rate and breakage rate of K3 treatment and CK2 treatment was not significant;The expansion coefficient and water absorption of K3 treatment are second only to CK2 treatment and significantly lower than CK2 treatment;The seedling index of K3 treated cucumber and watermelon substrate seedlings was second only to CK2 treatment and showed no significant difference with CK2 treatment.The emergence rate of K3 treated cucumber matrix block seedlings was second only to CK2 treatment and significantly lower than CK2 treatment.The emergence rate of K3 treated watermelon substrate block seedlings was second only to CK2 treatment and there was no significant difference.In terms of root activity and chlorophyll content,K3 treated cucumber watermelon block growth was second only to CK2 treatment and was not significantly different from CK2 treatment.The other 4 treatments were significantly lower than CK2 treatment.In summary,after comprehensive evaluation and evaluation of different formula substrate seedlings,T3,T4 and T1 were selected for cucumber seedling seedlings,T3 and T4 were suitable for watermelon seedlings,and K3 treatment was suitable for cucumber and watermelon substrate seedlings.According to the results of the comparison test,the T3 and T4 treatments were selected to be suitable for the general-purpose plug seedlings of cucumber and watermelon.The K3 treatment was suitable for the cucumber-watermelon universal matrix block seedling base.Among them,T3(K3)treatment(fertilized cow dung: corn stalk: rice husk ash: sputum sputum = 2:3:3:2)is the most suitable general seedling matrix formula suitable for cucumber watermelon plate base and matrix block.
