Dog urine can damage or even lead to lawn death, but the substance and mechanism of the destruction or death of the lawn is not clear. In this study,Kentucky bluegrass(Poa pratensis L.),tall fescue(Festuca arundinacea Schreb.)and perennial ryegrass(Lolium perenne L.)used as the research objects, the effective components of the damaged lawn were screened according to the composition and content of the three kinds of dog's urine, and the young and mature lawn of three kinds of turf grass were sprayed with the dog urine. The experiment was designed with complete randomized block design, with 11 treatments:CK,lactic acid, lactic acid+IAA,lactic acid+CTK,creatine, creatine+IAA,creatine+CTK,lactic acid, creatine, lactic acid, creatine+IAA,lactic acid, creatine+CTK and urea, and the quality of lawn and lawn damage were measured to explore the main substances that caused the damage to the lawn. The effects of lactic acid on the growth and physiology of Kentucky bluegrass were studied by using different concentrations of lactic acid(0?10-4mol/L?2×104mol/L?4×104mol/L?8×10-4mol/L).The results showed that:1.The main components of dog urine were nitrogen compounds(urea, etc),organic acids(lactic acid, creatine, etc)and inorganic salts(K,P,Na,Ca,Mg,etc). The composition of the urine of the three dogs varies, which is related to the breed and eating habits. The amount of dog's urine is related to the size of the dog and the sex of the dog,and large dogs urinate more than small dogs and female dogs more than male dog.2.Through the screening test,we can know that the lactic acid in dog urine can damage Kentucky bluegrass while the concentration of lactic acid was 38.9mmol·L-1,and the damage of Kentucky bluegrass can occur when the concentration of urea is 698.9mmol·L-1.3.With the passage of time, the quality of three cool season turfgrasses treated with lactic acid and urea was decreased, and significantly lower than that of control and creatine, indicating that lactic acid and urea had an adverse effect on the growth of turfgrasses, while creatine had no effect on the quality of the three turfgrasses. The quality of the three turf grasses treated with lactic acid was significantly lower than that of urea, indicating that lactic acid had stronger effects on the growth of three turfgrasses than urea.4.Urea and lactic acid can cause three kinds of turfgrasses damage, and the damage to the three turfgrass species showed an increasing trend, which was significantly higher than that of CK,and creatine had no damage to the three turfgrasses. The damage effect of lactic acid on three kinds of turfgrasses was significantly higher than that of urea, which indicated that lactic acid was the main component of burning turf in dog urine. The resistance of Kentucky bluegrass, ryegrass and tall fescue to urea was not consistent.Tall fescue had the strongest resistance, followed by Kentucky bluegrass, and ryegrass had the worst resistance. Therefore,in the garden lawn, you can choose a better resistance of turfgrasses species to reduce the damage caused by dog urine on the lawn.5.Lactic acid(10-4mol/L?8 × 10-4mol/L)can promote the growth of Kentucky bluegrass in a certain concentration range, improve the growth status of the plant, plant chlorophyll, soluble protein, soluble sugar and proline content, reduce the content of MDA content, and improve the integrity of the membrane system,Which can enhance the adaptability of Kentucky bluegrass to stress environment.
