With the introduction and implementation of the "Internet+" program,the potential of "Internet+agriculture" has been developed.Agriculture needs to use modern technology to improve production efficiency.Through cloud computing,big data,mobile internet,Internet of Things to provide planting and irrigation solutions,it can enhance production efficiency and saving resources.Due to the complexity of the radio environment in farmland,the Internet of Things(IOT)system in agriculture often has high resource overhead,poor reliability and high-power consumption in the wireless side.In order to overcome high consumption and delay in Agricultural Internet of things based on traditional protocol,new water-saving irrigation system was based on MQTT protocol,embedded system and wireless networking technology.The system was composed of intelligent gateway,wireless sensor network,cloud server and water-saving irrigation client software.The intelligent gateway was designed by Raspberry Pi 3B+,the data protocol between the coordinator and the terminal node adopts Modbus protocol,irrigation strategy based on soil moisture status and meteorological data was made.Comparison of traditional protocol and MQTT protocol in water saving irrigation system through the experiment.The test results showed that MQTT had more advantages in performance and low power consumption rather than other protocol.
