| Corn(Zea mays)and sorghum(Sorghum bicolor)are common annual feed crops and are excellent feed resources for herbivorous livestock.With the rapid development of animal husbandry,corn and sorghum are increasingly positioned as feed raw material in animal husbandry.In this study,six forage maize varieties and ten forage sorghum varieties were studied,the aim is to explore the differences in agronomic traits and nutritional values of whole-plant forage maize and forage sorghum were explored,and the dominant varieties suitable for planting,and to provide reference selection for the use of forage maize and forage sorghum and laying the foundation for making up the feed gap in Ya’an.The results showed that:1.Among the 6 forage maize varieties,the DM yield of Yayu Silage 8,Zhenghong311 and Ruide 1 were higher,11.36 t·hm-2,12.29 t·hm-22 and 10.89 t·hm-2,respectively.It was extremely significant higher than other varieties(P<0.01);the CP yield of the three were also higher,respectively,Yayu Silage 8 was 0.61 t·hm-22 and Zhenghong 311 was 0.57t·hm-2,Ruide 1 was 0.65 t·hm-2,which was extremely significant higher than other varieties(P<0.01).The WSC yield of the three was also higher,respectively,1.46 t·hm-2,1.40 t·hm-2and 1.43 t·hm-2,was extremely significant higher than other varieties(P<0.01);the RFV of the three were 149.64,133.69,and 139.17,which were extremely significant higher than other varieties(P<0.01);the membership function analysis showed that the membership function value of the three were The top three.In summary,Yayu Silage 8,Zhenghong 311 and Ruide 1 have advantages and are more suitable for planting in Ya’an.Among the 10 forage sorghum varieties,DM yield of Jincao 8,Jincao 11,Jinmu 1 and AS7193 silage sweet sorghum were higher,respectively,18.80 t·hm-2,20.11 t·hm-2,13.17t·hm-2and 14.64 t·hm-2,were extremely significant higher than other varieties(P<0.01);the CP yield of Jincao 8 and Jincao 11 were higher,respectively,1.44 t·hm-22 and 1.06 t·hm-2,which were extremely significant higher than other varieties(P<0.01),followed by AS7193 silage sweet sorghum and AS6016 sorghum,both of which were 0.91 t·hm-2;WSC yield was the highest with Jincao 8,1.88 t·hm-2,followed by Jincao 11 and AS7193silage sweet sorghum,1.62 t·hm-22 and 1.53 t·hm-2,respectively,which were extremely significant higher than other varieties(P<0.01);According to the analysis of membership function,the top four varieties were Jincao 12,Jincao 8,Jinmu 1,AS6023 silage sweet sorghum,and the RFV of these four were above 130.00.Therefore,Jincao 8,Jincao 12,Jinmu 1 and AS6023 silage sweet sorghum are more suitable for planting in Ya’an than other sorghum varieties.2.The harvest period had significant effect on yield and nutrient value of corn(P<0.01).The plant height of each variety gradually increased with the delay of the harvest period.The DM yield,CP content and CP yield of Yayu silage 8 were higher after 4 weeks delay at milk stage(H2),were 22.03 t·hm-2、6.47%and 1.43 t·hm-2,respectively.The DM yield,CP content and CP yield of Zhenghong 311 were higher after 2 weeks delay at milk stage(H1),were 21.29 t·hm-2、7.64%and 1.48 t·hm-2,respectively.Ruide 1 has the higher DM yield,CP content and CP yield after 4 weeks delay at milk stage(H2),were13.62 t·hm-2、6.69%and 0.91 t·hm-2,respectively.In summary,Zhenghong 311 has the higher DM yield,the highest CP content and CP yield at the appropriate harvest time for each forage maize variety.The harvest period had a significant effect on sorghum yield and nutritional value of sorghum(P<0.01).The plant height of each variety gradually increased by delayed harvesting date.Jincao 8 has the higher DM yield,CP content and CP yield at milk stage(CK),were 18.80 t·hm-2、7.81%and 1.48 t·hm-2,respectively.Jincao 12 has the higher DM yield,CP content and CP yield after 2 weeks delay at milk stage(H1),were 14.72 t·hm-2、6.60%and 0.97 t·hm-2,respectively.AS6023 silage sweet sorghum has the higher DM yield,CP content and CP yield after 4 weeks delay at milk stage(H2),were 16.08 t·hm-2、5.12%and 0.82 t·hm-2,respectively.Jinmu 1 has the higher DM yield,CP content and CP yield after 4 weeks delay at milk stage(H2),were 16.78 t·hm-2、6.02%and 1.01 t·hm-2,respectively.In summary,Jincao 8 has the highest DM yield,CP content and CP yield at the appropriate harvest time for each forage sorghum variety.Combining the yield and quality,the best for forage corn varieties was Zhenghong 311,and the best for forage sorghum varieties was Jincao 8.The suitable harvest period were after 2 weeks delay at milk stage and at milk stage,respectively. |
