A Study On Management Performance And Influential Factors In Sichuan Wolong Nature Reserve

It’s considered as an important work to carry out the evaluation of Nature Reserve Management Effect for Chinese Nature Reserves.However,many Nature Reserves haven’t been managed effectively in the course of traditional rescue protection act which not only caused by the quality of the internal management of nature reserve,but also the production activities of the surrounding residents.Nevertheless,local residents as the direct participant of biodiversity protection,most of nature reserves is easy to ignore local residents’ behavior response on some implementation of relevant policies.In view of this,this paper is based on a perspective from the farmers and combined with Theory of External Behavior,SiChuan Wolong Nature Reserve was chosen to begin a case study On the Impacts of Management Effect and Influential Factors in Sichuan Wolong Nature Reserve-From the perspective of local residents,in order to obtain relevant enlightenment to be used promote the sustainable development of local residents and biodiversity conservation of Wolong Nature Reserve.First of all,this paper is used the LY/T 1726-2008 Nature Reserve Management Effect Evaluation Technical Code written by the National Forestry Administration to analyze Wolong Nature Reserve Management Effect from System construction,Resource protection effect,Community relation and co-ordination measures,and Community participation.It is found that:Overall,Wolong Nature Reserve Management Effect is good on those aspects mentioned above,but the average of Community relationship is the lowest of all,only 2.04.Secondly,based on Theory of External Behavior and a perspective of local residents,this paper is further to explore the Impacts of Management Effect and Influential Factors in Sichuan Wolong Nature Reserve from Production behavior,Disaster prevention behavior,Resource use behavior and Opportunity selection behavior through Principal Component Factor Analysis Method,it is found that:each one of these behavior is correlated with Wolong Reserve Nature Management Effect.Thirdly,through Orderly Logistic Regression and Generalized Linear Model analysis,the result showed that:Production behavior,Disaster prevention behavior,Resource use behavior are negative correlated with Wolong Reserve Nature Management Effect,Opportunity selection is positive correlated with Wolong Reserve Nature Management Effect.Base on the conclusions,some enlightens are obtained to promote Wolong Nature Reserve Management Effect:to establish an assessment mechanism to balance the influence caused by Production behavior of local residents,to improve system of disaster compensation,to explore and carry out some developmental projects.
