The dry whole worm of Pheretima aspergillum(E.errier)is named as“Guang di long”,which is the main source of earthworm,besides,it is commonly used to cure high fever,convulsion,parapysis of the joints,numbness of limb,paralysis of half of body,infantile fever,cough,edema,and oliguria,and other symptoms,it has the functions of antithrombus,antineoplastic,immunoregulation,decompression,antiarrhythmic,and anti-inflammatory,so that it is the common medicine for the clinical treatment of disease,and daily care.At present,the demand on earthworm in the domestic and foreign market is increasing,however,due to the factors of industrial development of the area for Pheretima aspergillum,dry climate in the south place in spring,and color weather,the earthworm is stopped for the production,so that the quantity of it is greatly reduced,lacking for inventory,and the production can not satisfy the sales;besides,there are numerous kinds of earthworm on the market,without clear difference,and also the there are different levels for the quality,so that the scaled cultivation on Pheretima aspergillum still has the potential for development.On the other hand,there are large damages for the industrial damages,such as Chinese medicine residue and sludge to the environment,the traditional method for processing needs to spend great time and capital,so that by means of introducing the cultivation of earthworm on the basis of Chinese medicine residue and sludge,it can get the medicine of Chinese medicine residue and sludge in high quality,and meanwhile,it can realize the minimization,recycling,and harmless disposal on Chinese medicine residue and sludge,which has important significance on the sustainable development of environment.As to the wormcast produced by pheretima aspergillum have the features of light,smooth texture,non of peculiar smell,high content of organic substance,and besides,there are full of humus acid,nitrogen,phosphorus,and potassium,which can promote the growth of plants,be used as organic fertilizer,and also it can realize he recycling of the resources.By means of artificial breeding,it can reduce the demand on the earthworm in the market to some extent,protect the decreasing resource of pheretima aspergillum in the original place,so that it can make some contributions for the diversity of ecological system.In this paper,it takes the pheretima aspergillum as the feeding object,and develops the feeding with the Chinese medicine residue and sludge as the main raw materials.First of all,it has micro fermentation on the Chinese medicine residue,checks the influencing factor on the fermentation of Chinese medicine residue,and then,it has dynamic inspection on the content of active ingredient in these materials during the course of fermentation,further develops the feeding on pheretima aspergillum,and finally,it has assessment on the quality of the produced earthworm.The main results are as follows:1.The types for the chemical ingredients in the Chinese medicine residue are complicated and various,there are amino acid,organic acid,non reducing sugar or glycosides,sterides,triterpenes,phenols,flavone,coumarin,ficusin,cardiac glycosides,and grease,and there may be the ingredient of anthraquinones;during the course of decomposed,the active ingredients in the Chinese medicine residue may have degradation and conversion,and the poisonousness of plant will be decreased.2.As the No.2 culture has the best effect for degradation on the chemical ingredients in Chinese medicine residue,best suitable time for fermentation,and higher efficiency for the fermentation,so that it is the best culture for Chinese medicine residue,and the period for fermentation is 14 days.3.During the course of fermentation,the pH and electric conductivity of various kinds of cultures in different periods in the Chinese medicine residue can meet the requirement of the feeding,and by means of the No.2 culture to have fermentation,the content of organic matter can meet the growth requirement of pheretima aspergillum before the 14 days for fermentation.4.It should adopt half fermented mixed sludge and Chinese medicine residue to breed the pheretima aspergillum,and the matching of Chinese medicine residue and sludge should be 5?5,the suitable humidity is 45%,and the breeding density is 5,000/m~3.5.For the different matching of Chinese medicine residue and sludge,the bred earthworm all can satisfy the national standard and with high quality.
