Feeding whole grain is more common in dairy and beef cattle production, but less in dairy goat production. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effects of three grains of whole sunflower seeds, whole barley, and whole corn on the lactation performance and blood biochemical parameters of the whole goat in the diet. The experiment was designed by single-factor randomized block.450 GuanShan dairy goats were randomly divided into three groups,150 in each group. At the time of sampling, samples of 30 dairy goats were collected from each group. The trial period is a 10-day pre-feed period and a 56-day formal period.Feed intake was recorded daily during the official period;10 ml of blood was collected from the jugular vein in the morning on days 1,28 and 56 for analysis of blood biochemical parameters.Milk samples were collected twice at 8 am and 8 pm on days 1,8,15,22,29,36,43,50 and 56,respectively,and the milk yield was measured to determine the milk fat percentage, milk protein and lactose. The results of this study indicate:the corn group had the highest milk yield and the barley group had the lowest, and the difference between the three groups was significant(P < 0.05).There was no significant difference in feed intake between the groups. The sunflower milk group had the highest milk fat percentage, and the milk fat content was significantly higher than that of the corn group and the barley group(P < 0.05).The difference between the corn group and the barley group was not significant. There were significant differences in milk protein between the three groups of cereal diets(P < 0.05);the highest content of milk protein in the corn group and the lowest in the barley group.Different grain diets had little effect on lactose content, and the difference was not significant. The three groups of grain diets had different effects on the blood biochemical parameters of dairy goats. The concentration of triglyceride in the blood of the sunflower seed group was significantly different from that of the corn group and the barley group(P < 0.05).The blood urea nitrogen concentration in the barley fed milk goats was significantly different from that in the corn group(P < 0.05).The blood glucose concentration in the corn group was significantly different from that in the barley group(P<0.05).
