In this research, the effects of different doses of essential oils on the reproductive performance of sows during late pregnancy and lactation were studied by adding them to the diets of sows.In this experiment,60 binary hybrid lactating sows with similar parity(Landrace × Large white,4-5 Parity)were randomly divided into 3 treatments with 20 replications in each treatment and 1 lactating sow in each replicate. The control group was fed with basal diet,LEO(Low plant essential oils)supplemented with 200 mg/kg plant essential oil,HEO(High plant essential oils)and the control diet supplemented with 400mg/kg plant essential oil.The trial period was 45 days(from 90 days of pregnancy to 21 days of weaning). The results show that:1)in the second week of lactation, compared with the diet supplemented with 400 mg/kg plant essential oil,the dietary supplementation of 200 mg/kg plant essential oil significantly increased the ADFI of lactating sows(P<0.05).2)compared with the control group,200 mg/kg plant essential oil significantly decreased the content of MDA and increased the activities of GPx and CAT in serum of pregnant sows.At the same time, the activities of GPx and CAT in serum of pregnant sows were significantly increased by adding 400 mg/kg essential oils(P<0.05).3)compared with the control group,200 mg/kg plant essential oil supplementation significantly increased the serum IgG and IgM content of parturient sows and the serum IgM content of weaned sows(P<0.05).At the same time,400 mg/kg plant essential oil supplementation significantly increased the serum IgG content of parturient sows and the serum IgM content of weaned sows(P<0.05).4)compared with the control group,200 mg/kg plant essential oil significantly decreased the content of serum IL-1 ?(P<0.05),while the diet supplemented with 400 mg/kg plant essential oil significantly increased the content of serum IL-6(P<0.05).5)compared with the diet supplemented with 400 mg/kg plant essential oil,200 mg/kg plant essential oil significantly increased the protein content in colostrum of lactating sows.6)compared with the control group,200 mg/kg plant essential oil significantly increased the content of IgG and IgA in colostrum(P<0.05),and 400 mg/kg plant essential oil significantly increased the content of IgA in colostrum(P<0.05).7)at door level, compared with the control group,400 mg/kg plant essential oil supplementation significantly increased the fecal Euryarchaeota content of sows(P<0.05).At the genus level, compared with the control group,200 mg/kg plant essential oil supplementation significantly decreased the content of Clostridium XlVb in sow feces(P<0.05),while 400 mg/kg plant essential oil supplementation significantly increased the content of Methanobrevibacter and decreased the contents of Turicibacter and Alloprevotella in sow feces(P<0.05).The results showed that the addition of plant essential oil to late pregnancy and lactation sow diet could improve the reproductive performance of sows and the growth performance of lactating piglets, regulate the redox balance of sow serum, increase immune related factors, improve the composition of breast milk and colostrum immunity, and regulate the structure of intestinal flora.200 mg/kg plant essential oil has a better effect.
