Aiming at the issues such as the mechanism and safety of alfalfa quality improvement and efficiency enhancement by domestic reclaimed water irrigation in Zhongwei area of Ningxia. The pot experiment random block experiment and orthogonal experiment method were used to study the effects of domestic reclaimed water irrigation quota, irrigation technology and irrigation water quality on the growth, photosynthesis, yield and quality of alfalfa,in orderto improvethe quality and increase the yield of alfalfa by domestic reclaimed water irrigation in Ningxia. It is expected to provide a theoretical basis for improving the quality, yield and efficiency of alfalfa by domestic reclaimed water irrigation in Ningxia The main findings were as follows:1.Through the comparison experiment of different irrigation quotas, the effects of different irrigation quota treatments on the growth index, yield index and quality index of alfalfa under potted conditions were studied.Under inadequate irrigation conditions, the plant height, stem thickness, number of branches, and yield of alfalfa showed a gradual increase with the increase of the irrigation quota of domestic reclaimed water. With the increase of the irrigation quota of domestic reclaimed water, the relative feeding value of alfalfa showed a trend of increasing first and then decreasing.Compared with the control tap water treatment, the plant height, stem thickness, branch number and fresh grass yield of alfalfa irrigated by domestic reclaimed water increased by 5.3%.10%,9.7%and 6.5%,and crude ash and crude fat increased by 8.9%and 2.1%,the lead content increased by 2%.2.Using random block design to study the effects of different irrigation quotas and irrigation techniques on alfalfa growth indicators, photosynthesis, yield and quality indicators. The experiment resulted in significant factors,single-factor variation rules and reasonable factor level combination plans that affected the growth index, yield and quality index of alfalfa respectively.Irrigation quota factors had significant effects on alfalfaplant height, stem thickness, number of branches and yield,as well as alfalfa's crude ash.crude fat.crude protein and relative feeding value. The combination(W3T3)was determined which the irrigation quota is 3480m3/hm2 and the irrigation technology was underground drip irrigation, the fresh grass output of alfalfa was the largest at 23365kg/hm2.The crude ash, crude fat, crude protein and relative feeding value were the largest.11.7%.1.98%,22.3%and 191.01 respectively;crude fiber, acid washing fiber and neutral washing fiber were the smallest, respectively 21%,26.2%and 33.1%;alfalfa had the highest absorption of nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium and calcium, respectively 3.68%,0.48%,3.7%,and 18.7g/kg;the content of lead and chromium was far less than the national standard(lead?30mg/kg,chromium?5mg/kg)3.Using orthogonal experiments, the effects of different irrigation quotas, irrigation techniques and irrigation water quality on the growth index, photosynthesis.yield index and quality index of alfalfa were studied. The experiment obtained the primary and secondary factors that influenced the growth index, yield and quality of alfalfa, the influence rules of each factor and the optimal combination plan. The order of the three factors that affect yield was:irrigation quota>irrigation technology>irrigation water quality. For alfalfa fresh grass output,it showed an increasing trend with the increase of irrigation quota;in irrigation technology, the level of underground drip irrigation was the highest, the level of surface drip irrigation was the second, and the level of micro-spray irrigation was the lowest; The irrigation level was the lowest. The determined optimal combination(W3T2Q1)was consistent with the reference combination, which the irrigation quota was 3480m3/hm2,the irrigation technology was underground drip irrigation, and the irrigation water quality was reclaimed water, the annual fresh grass output was the largest at 34843 kg/hm2.Under this optimal level combination, the alfalfa crude ash, crude fat, crude protein and relative feeding value were the largest, respectively 11.6%,1.19%,22.1%and 171.19;crude fiber, acid washing fiber and neutral washing fiber were the smallest,21.2%,29.5%,and 35.5%respectively;alfalfa had the highest nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, and calcium contents, respectively 3.53%,3.82%,0.58%,and 18.5g/kg;the content of lead and chromium was much smaller than that of the country Limit.
