In recent years,as human demand for high-end products such as meat, eggs, milk and other agricultural and animal husbandry has become higher and higher, prompting the rapid development of animal husbandry, the demand for the forage market has gradually increased. However,in northern China, fresh forage feeding cannot be achieved in winter and spring, and hay has low nutritional value and high cost. Therefore,The purpose of this study is to try to solve the problem of livestock feeding demand for fresh forage in winter and spring and during the period of prohibition and rest grazing.Based on the current situation of high grain production and sufficient edible grain reserves in China,The idea of producing fresh forage by germinating the crops corn, wheat, barley, oats, rice and rapeseed was proposed.Designed a series of screening tests for seed soaking, germination and seedling growth conditions. At the same time, the nutritional value of seedlings at different stages was determined.Through comprehensive evaluation, proposed the production technology of factory germination and seedling cultivation, and transforming its crop seeds into forage grass(feed). The test results are as follows:(1)After screening, among the grains of several crops, wheat, corn and oat grains are suitable for fresh forage production.Barley grains are not suitable for fresh forage production because their germination rate is too low,and rice and rapeseed grains are too low because of their low yield.(2)Through optimization screening of seed soaking, germination and seedling growth conditions, the technological process of producing fresh forage for several major crops is determined.Take wheat grains as an example, the process is as follows:the wheat grains are soaked at 30? for 6-24h,and then transferred to a constant temperature of 25? to germinate for 3-5d,then increase the light(8h at 40001x or 14h at 20001x)at the same temperature.Harvest after about 10 days of cultivation. When the seedlings reach a height of about 16cm,fresh forage production is completed and harvested together with the germinated seeds.(3)Comprehensive consideration from the aspects of conversion efficiency, nutritional value and production cycle,it is most suitable to harvest fresh forage at about 10 days after germination. At this time, its comprehensive feeding value is the highest. From the perspective of production costs, the cost of the fresh forage production process largely depends on the cost of selecting the grain. In the case of ensuring the quality of the grain,The lower the cost of grain, the more economical. To sum up,It is feasible to solve the problem of livestock's demand for fresh forage in winter and spring and during the prohibition and rest grazing periods through factory production of fresh forage.
