Study On Effect Of Fresh Alfalfa On Production Performance And Regulation Mechanism Of Sows

This paper have studied on the effect of different replaced quantity of fresh alfalfa in Sows’diet during pregnancy on nutrient digestibility、body condition、the lactation feed intake、the production performance、serum biochemical parameters、sex hormone and milk composition of sows,The experiment results are as follows: Test 1:Using a single-factor and randomized block design,30 da-chang binary sows, whose mating date、birth order、superior fetal litter size、body condition were similar, divided into six groups, five pigs each group, one pig each duplicate. Sows of control group was fed the basal diet, pregnant swine diet of test groupsⅠ、Ⅱ、ⅢandⅣwere replaced with 10%, 20%, 30%, 40% fresh alfalfa (by dry matter conversion), pregnant swine diet of testⅤgroup was replaced with 20% alfalfa meal. The results showed that: (1) Compared with the control group,in both the diet of pregnant sows with different proportion fresh alfalfa and 20% alfalfa meal instead of concentrate , the digestibility of crude protein, crude ash, neutral detergent fiber, acid detergent fiber, calcium and phosphorus are all increase. Among them,groupⅢwas the biggest increase, very significantly higher (P <0.01) than control group; with the alternative amount of fresh alfalfa increasing,the apparent digestibility of crude fat turn down, but apparent digestibility of crude fat of alfalfa meal group and the control group were almost no difference. (2) With the fresh alfalfa replaced increasingly, the weight gain of breeding sows and the amount increase of backfat increased at first and then decreased, while the amount increase of sows backfat during pregnancy and sow backfat reduction during lactation were decreased. Compared with the control group,with the fresh alfalfa and alfalfa meal replaced the same dry weight of the concentrate , feed intake of sows have increased, Meanwhile,groupⅢfeed intake was the biggest, very significantly higher (P <0.01)than Control group.Using fresh alfalfa and alfalfa meal replaced concentrate, the interval of weaning to estrus has been shortened, but the different groups were not significant (P> 0.05). (3) The total newborn piglets、newbron live piglets、weaning piglets、weight of weaning litter and daily gain of weaning litter increased with the alternative amount of fresh alfalfa increasing, weight of weaning piglets of fresh alfalfa group (except groupⅢ) were similar with the control group , testⅤgroup was significantly higher (P <0.05) than control group and the other test groups, the weaned piglet of testⅤgroup was also very significantly higher (P﹤0.01)than Control group and other test groups. Comprehensive analysis, concentrate was replaced with 30% fresh alfalfa in pregnant swine diet to obtain the best value of production performance and economic benefitsTest 2:The design is the same as before, the results showed that: (1)With the fresh alfalfa and alfalfa meal replaced complete feed, increased the content of TP、HDL-C、GLU、ALP、Immunoglobulin G and Immunoglobulin M of Sows serum, reduced the content of T-CHOL、LDL-C and TG of Sows serum, improved the quality of fat metabolism of sows。(2) Fresh alfalfa and meal during pregnancy have a positive effect on the regulation of sex hormones of sows, improved the sow’s litter size greatly . (3) With the alternative amount of fresh alfalfa,the milk fat, milk protein, lactose and dry matter showed first gone up and then decreased , test groupⅢwere the highest. Among them, groupⅢof the milk fat and lactose were significantly (P <0.05) than control group, dry matter of groupⅢwas very significantly (P <0.01) than the control group, milk protein differences among the groups were not significant (P> 0.05 ). (4) Fresh alfalfa and alfalfa meal increased the content of immunoglobulin of sow’s clean milk and piglet’serum, 30% of adding fresh alfalfa was the biggest increased, very significantly (P <0.01) or significantly (P <0.05) than the control group .
