This paper analyzes the development of silk higher education in the 20th century from the junior college to the undergraduate,from the silkworm agricultural science to the silkworm silkworm multi-disciplinary development in the 20th century,using literature research and historical research methods from the perspective of the relevant theories of industrial universities serving the industry.,Analyzed the interactive relationship between the silk higher education in Suzhou and the development of the local silk industry,and on this basis,summarized the basic laws of industry universities serving the industry and its enlightenment.Modern silk education in my country started in the early 20th century.As the important town of the silk industry in my country,the establishment and development of silk colleges and universities in Suzhou has always been at the forefront of the development of silk education in my country.In the 20th century,the development of silk higher education in Suzhou experienced three major stages of development.The first stage is the initial development of silk education in the first half of the 20th century and the stage of serving the industry.In 1911,the Shanghai Women's Sericulture Academy was changed to a public nature,and it was renamed the Jiangsu Provincial Women's Sericulture Academy.It moved to Suzhou Hushuguan to continue the school.In 1912,it was officially renamed the Jiangsu Provincial Women's Sericulture School.After the outbreak of the Anti-Japanese War,the school moved to Shanghai and Sichuan,and the Shanghai branch was closed in 1941 and transferred to Sichuan.After the War of Resistance Against Japan,the school moved to Hushuguan to resume school.The second stage is the stage of development of sericulture specialist education under the planned economic system and service to the industry after the founding of New China.After the merger and adjustment of the school in the early days of the founding of the People's Republic of China,the education of sericulture is gradually on track.After adjustment,the Jiangsu Provincial Women's Sericulture School merged with the Provincial Silk Technical College,and after the merger the school was renamed the Public Silk Technical College.However,since then,with the ups and downs of the political movement,the school's education field has been hit by an unprecedented impact.It has made twists and turns in difficult circumstances,and the school's name has undergone several changes,In 1958,the school was officially renamed Suzhou Sericulture College.The third stage is the development of silk undergraduate education and service to the industry after the separation of silkworm and silk in the second half of the 20th century.In 1956,on the basis of the Xushuguan Silk School in Jiangsu Province,a silkworm and silk branch school was established to establish a secondary technical school of Jiangsu Silk Industry.In 1958,Jiangsu Provincial Silk Industry School was renamed Suzhou Silk Industry College,and the nature of the school rose from secondary school to junior college.In 1960,Suzhou Silk Industry College was upgraded to an undergraduate nature,and Suzhou Silk Engineering College was established.At this stage,Suzhou Silk Higher Education planned to develop and serve the industry at the junior college level and undergraduate level.Until the end of the 20th century,with the advent of China's socialist market economy era,Suzhou Silk Higher Education gained new and greater Means of development,serving the industry.The establishment and development of silk higher education in Suzhou in the 20th century is not only an aspect of the development process of modern higher education in China,but also a living case of the interactive development of industrial colleges and real industries.From the perspective of higher education,it is the essential requirement for the social service function of colleges and universities to serve the industry by industrial colleges and universities.It is mainly reflected in:the cultivation of the talents required by the industry is the core of the social services of the colleges and universities;The basis of services;solving practical industrial problems is the direct social service provided by industrial colleges.
