Yangtze-Huaihe Region is an important food crop production base in Southern China,where is a shortage of land resources in winter.Planting grass in winter fallow field can effectively increase the yield of high-quality forage grass,improve the production efficiency of traditional agricultural mode and meet the rapid development of herbivorous animal husbandry.In the winter fallow field of Jianghuai region,three legume grasses,namely oats and Vicia sativa,vetch and broccoli,were planted in the winter fallow field of Yangtze-Huaihe region at the ratio of 50:50,67:33 and 33:67.The effects of different mixed sowing modes on the growth status,hay yield,land use efficiency,nutritional quality and rumen degradation of sheep were studied In order to provide a reference for the selection of forage production mode suitable for local winter fallow field cultivation in Yangtze-Huaihe region,the following research results were obtained1.The three legume pastures of oats,arrow pea,vetch,and golden cauliflower can complete their growth period after single mixed planting in winter fallow fields in the Yangtze-Huaihe area,and the growth status is good,which will not affect the cultivation of the next season.2.Mixed sowing can increase forage yield and land utilization.From the perspective of dry oat yield,the oat hay yield obtained from the mixed planting treatment of oats+arrow pea?67:33?was the highest at 1365.25 g·m-2;from the perspective of the total dry yield of forage,the total amount of all mixed planting treatments The yields were significantly higher than those of legume single sowing.The total hay yields of oats+arrow pea?67:33?and oats+golden cauliflower?33:67?were 10.4%and 9.5%higher than those of oats single sowing.The performance is the most impressive;from the perspective of land utilization,oats+golden cauliflower?33:67?has the highest land utilization rate,which is 50.84%higher than the unicast mode.From the comprehensive perspective of forage yield and land use,oats+arrow pea?67:33?and oats+golden cauliflower?33:67?are suitable winter fallow field mixed production models suitable for promotion and utilization in the Jianghuai region.3.Mixed sowing can reduce the stem-leaf ratio to a certain extent and improve the palatability of forage.The nutritional value of mixed forage is more comprehensive than that of unicast.Compared with unicast oats,the crude protein content is increased by 26%56%,and the crude fiber and crude ash content are reduced by 4%14%and 4%11%respectively.The content of calcium and phosphorus increased by 52%88%and 40%60%,respectively,and the crude fat content increased by 4%27%compared with unicast legumes.The crude protein content of oats in the mixed sowing system was higher than that of unicast oats,and the crude fiber content was lower.The crude protein content of legumes was lower than that of unicast legumes,and the crude fiber content was increased.The feed value analysis shows that among all the mixed sowing treatments,the Relative Feed Value?RFV?value of oats+arrow pea?67:33?is the highest,which is 116.67.4.The in vitro fermentation performance of mixed forage grass is excellent.Compared with unicasting,the gas production is increased by 14%43%,the digestibility of organic matter is increased by 11%34%,the methane production is reduced by 7%14%,the pH value?6.586.79?,ammonia,both the nitrogen concentration?12.6522.33mg/100mL?and the composition ratio of volatile fatty acids are within a reasonable range.In each mixed planting treatment,oats+arrow pea?50:50?and oats+golden cauliflower?33:67?have the highest total gas production and organic digestibility,and they have suitable pH,ammonia nitrogen concentration and lower methane Yield and fermentation performance are the best.In conclusion,through the gray comprehensive analysis method,multiple indicators such as hay yield,land use efficiency,crude protein content and organic matter digestibility were selected into the evaluation system.It can be seen that oats+golden cauliflower?33:67?,oats+arrow pea?67:33?and oats+arrow pea?50:50?mixed grassland has the highest comprehensive production performance,which is suitable for promotion and utilization in the Jianghuai area and similar areas.
