Yangtze River is the first long river in China, there are a wide variety of aquatic wild animals living in it,including the Baiji known as the "Goddess of the Yangtze River",the "smiling elf" Yangtze finless porpoise, and the one of the "Three Fresh Fishes of Yangtze Rivers",etc. They are treasures that nature has given to mankind, and have left people with unlimited wealth in material and spiritual terms. However,as human activities continue to intensify, affected by water conservancy projects, water environment pollution, biological invasion, overfishing, and accidental fishing, the living environment of the Yangtze River's aquatic wildlife is deteriorating, biodiversity continues to decline, and rare and endemic species decline in an all-round way. Some species are extremely endangered, such as Baiji,Yangtze finless porpoise,Acipenser sinensis,Psephurus gladius,Myxocyprinus asiaticus,Macrura reevesi, etc. The deterioration of the ecological environment of the Yangtze River will affect the survival of the aquatic organisms of the Yangtze River. On the contrary, their living conditions can also reflect the health of the Yangtze River ecosystem. The disappearance of a species may not be able to attract human attention, but if one day the endangered species of the Yangtze River will become extinct Exhausted, then the Yangtze River ecosystem at that time was not enough to sustain human existence. Therefore, the protection of endangered aquatic wildlife in the Yangtze River Basin is not only to protect the species itself, but also to restore the Yangtze River ecosystem and protect the natural environment on which humans depend. Therefore, saving rare and endangered aquatic wildlife in the Yangtze River should become an important and urgent Mission. This article systematically sorts out the species status of endangered aquatic wildlife in the Yangtze River Basin, the causes of its endangerment, related protection laws and systems, and analyzes the deficiencies, and then puts forward corresponding protection suggestions and new protection models Thinking,to provide a reference for future protection work. The article is divided into six chapters, the contents are as follows:The first chapter mainly introduces the research background, research purpose and significance, research methods, innovation and shortcomings of this article.Through combing and analyzing the research progress of the protection of endangered aquatic wildlife in freshwater areas at home and abroad,it is found that the current research progress abroad has carried out a variety of protection efforts on the endangered aquatic wildlife in freshwater basins from multiple perspectives, and launched related The practice of protection is worth learning. However, most domestically analyze the reasons for threatening the survival of the endangered aquatic wildlife in the Yangtze River from a micro perspective and give corresponding countermeasures. However, most of these countermeasures are concentrated in a field of protective research and countermeasures, which lack interrelationship and integrity.Chapter 2 introduces the theoretical basis and principles for protecting endangered aquatic wildlife in the Yangtze River Basin, including sustainable development theory, biodiversity protection theory, ecosystem management theory, holistic principles, and government-led multi-agent participation model. When working, these theories and principles should always be applied and implemented.Chapter 3 first sorts out the current status of endangered aquatic wildlife representative species in the Yangtze River Basin according to the classification standards of different endangered species at home and abroad, and secondly sorts out the main causes of the endangered aquatic wildlife in the Yangtze River Basin, mainly including water environment pollution and noise pollution,Construction of water conservancy projects,over-fishing and accidental catch, biological invasion.Chapter 4 discusses the existing legal system for the protection of endangered aquatic wildlife in the Yangtze River Basin and analyzes the deficiencies of the relevant legal system, including: unclear jurisdiction issues, lack of administrative compensation, specific implementation regulations for rewards, and the relative development of protection lists Backwardness, lack of relevant regulations on wildlife welfare, and weak legal liability.Chapter 5 puts forward the exploration of ways to protect the endangered aquatic wildlife in the Yangtze River Basin in the future, including strengthening the protection of the entire ecosystem, promoting a comprehensive river basin protection model, improving existing laws and regulations, and promulgating the "Yangtze River Protection Law" as soon as possible. The revision of the aquatic wildlife protection list, with local protection as the main method and ex-situ protection as the supplementary protection method, calls for the dismantling of some water conservancy facilities, the establishment of special compensation, strengthen relevant law enforcement supervision, and strengthen the scientific research investment and encouragement of endangered aquatic wildlife protection Public participation strengthens citizens' awareness of protection.Chapter 6 concludes this article.Although the natural population status of some endangered aquatic wildlife in the Yangtze River Basin has been restored after years of hard work, some conservation management has achieved certain achievements, and the process of species extinction has been effectively contained Work still has a long way to go,and I hope that through the joint efforts of the whole society, the souls living in the Yangtze River can be saved.
