Investigation And Research On Recreational Fishing Activities In The Natural Watershed Of The Middle Reaches Of The Yangtze River

With the development of modern economy society,people are beginning to pay more attention to a healthy lifestyle.Recreational angling is one of the common ways of outdoor activities.Recreational angling activities in our country are growing vigorously now,not only the artificial released reservoirs around cities,but there are also more and more recreational angling activities in the natural waters.Recreational angling activities in natural waters are essentially angling activities,so it is necessary to orderly manage the recreational angling activities in natural waters under the national policy of strengthening the protection of aquatic organisms.Because the number of fishermen in natural waters is not clear and they have strong mobility,it is difficult to formulate relevant protection and management policies.The article chose the middle reaches of the Yangtze River to carry out the on-site surveys of recreational angling activities,in order to get the current situation of the recreational angling activities in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River,and then provide references to improve the relevant protection and management policies.The main results of this article are as follows.1.Investigation on the Personnel Structure of recreational anglingFrom Nov.2017 to Dec.2017 and Sept.2020 to Oct.2020,mobile surveys were carried out in 4 areas,the main stream of the middle reaches of the Yangtze River,Han River,Dongting Lake and Poyang Lake,total collected 446 field questionnaires of fishermen.The results showed that the fishermen in the natural basin of the middle reaches of the Yangtze River covered all ages,ranging from 24 to 89 years old,but most of them were middleaged and elderly,with an average age of(49.94±0.67)years old.There was no significant difference in the age of the fisherman in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River(P > 0.05).The average age of the fishmen in the main stream,Dongting Lake,Poyang Lake and Hanjiang were(53.72±1.42)years old,(47.36±1.09)years old,(47.07±1.18)years old and(51.87±1.42)years old,most of them were male,accounting for 97.98%.There were many kinds of occupations for the fishmen,the main group was self-employed people,and next was the retired people.The average annual income is ?(9.38±1.14)thousand,which was higher than the average of annual income of local residents.However,there were some differences in the average of annual income among different regions(P < 0.05),the highest region was the middle reaches of the Yangtze River,which was ?(12.04±5.03)thousand,and Hanjiang River was the lowest,which was ?(7.29±0.31)thousand.The expenditure on Recreational angling by fishermen showed some differences in each region,in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River(p < 0.05),which had the highest average income,the average income on recreational angling was ?(1489.09±231.93),The average expenditure of fishermen in Dongting Lake,Poyang Lake and Hanjiang River regions on leisure fishing is?(4788.99±618.02),?(2001.81±313.04)and ?(2323.62±359.18),all of these can indicate that the expenditure of recreational angling had no relation with the income of the fisherman.2.Investigation on the number,duration,frequency and fish catch of recreational angling in natural watersIn order to know the number of the fishmen and fish catch of Recreational angling in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River,the angling situation in the natural basin of the middle reaches of the Yangtze River was sampled and analyzed for the first time from Nov.2017 to Dec.2017 and Sept.2020 to Oct.2020.96 samples analysis that it is estimated that the total number of the fishermen in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River is 12145,and the average density of natural waters is 7.9 people / km;in the sampling statistics,1532 people used 4131 sets of angling tackle,and the average use of angling tackle is 2.7 sets /person;angling tackle is dominated by hand poles,which is 67.65% in the total number of angling tackles.The average fishing age of leisure fishing in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River was(8.49 ± 0.48)years,and there was a significant difference between the regions(P < 0.01).The average number of monthly fishing was(10.79 ± 0.33)d / m,and the average daily fishing duration was(6.3 ± 0.10)h / d.There was a significant difference in the average daily fishing duration between different regions(P < 0.05).It is estimated that the annual angling catch in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River is 322.8 t,which was 7.9 % of the productive fishing amount compared with the productive fishing amount in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River in 2016.3.Investigation on the influencing factors of fishing activities in the natural catchment of the middle reaches of the Yangtze RiverA 29 days' survey was conducted in Yichang river from Nov.2020 to Dec.2020,and the factors were counted,such as the number of fishermen,weather,temperature,water level and holidays.The results showed that the number of fishermen was affected by weather,temperature,weekdays and weekends.There was a significant positive correlation between the number of fishermen and the weather's fineness(P < 0.05);the number of fishermen and the temperature also showed a significant positive correlation(P < 0.05);there was no obvious correlation between the number of fishermen and the changing of water level(P > 0.05);the number of fishermen on holidays was obviously higher than that on weekdays(P < 0.05).Then established the fitting equation between the number of fishermen and the environmental factors in Yichang river: N=30.17x+1.64y+46.70(x is the day's weather,y is the real-time temperature).4.Problems and suggestions on the management of recreational angling activitiesIn recent years,some policies on the management of recreational angling have been issued in the Yangtze River in China,but which are not perfect,and the implementation and publicity are not enough.The survey found that there are still a number of problems,such as multi-bar fishing,fishing waste residue,the size of angling catch without restrictions,fishing time management.This paper puts forward corresponding suggestions for some problems in the survey,such as variety management,fish size limitation,garbage management from fishing,strengthening inspection and law enforcement,and strengthening publicity.In order to further improve the leisure fishing management measures in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River Basin,and promote the protection and recovery of fishery resources in the Yangtze River.
