Investigation On Edible And Medicinal Fungi And "Taimo" In Wutai Mountain

A survey of macrofungi in Wutai Mountain was carried out during 2017-2019.With morphological identification,a total of 181 species belonged to 2 phyla 6 classes15 orders 37 families 76 genera were found.Among which,67 species are edible,32 species are medicinal,5 newly recorded species: Clitopaxillus fibulatus P.-A.Moreau,Atractosporocybe polaris Gulden & E.Larss.,Amanita simulans Contu,Clitopilus amarus A.de Haan,Lyophyllum canescentipes Clémen?on & A.H.Sm.The habit and utilize of each species were also recorded of 181 species.There are 67 edible species,32 medicinal species and 37 poisonous species were identified in the macrofungi.The edible species occupied 37 percent,mainly focused on Tricholomataceae and Agaricaceae,mainly composed of Leucopaxillus giganteus(Sowerby)Singer,Lepista nuda(Bull.)Cooke,Clitocybe odora(Bull.)P.Kumm.,Clitocybe robusta Peck;the medicinal species occupied 17.7 percent,mainly focused on Tricholomataceae,mainly composed of Russula alutacea(Fr.)Fr.,Agaricus arvensis Schaeff,Leucopaxillus giganteus(Sowerby)Singer;the poisonous species occupied 20.4percent of the total number species in Wutai Mountain.With literature research,folk visits,market research and field investigation combined with morphological identification,it indicated that "Taimo" could be mainly divided into 4 categories in the folk classification: "Yinpan","Xiangxun","Shuipi" and "Qiulibai" including 4 main species and 8 species mixed with them."Yinpan" is mainly composed of Leucopaxillus giganteus(Sowerby)Singer,and mixed with Clitocybe squamulosa(Pers.)P.Kumm.and Ampulloclitocybe clavipes(Pers.)Redhead."Xiangxun" is mainly composed of Lepista nuda(Bull.)Cooke,mixed with Lepista sordida(Schumach.)Singer,Lepista irina(Fr.)H.E.Bigelow and Clitopaxillus fibulatus P.-A.Moreau."Shuipi" is mainly composed of Clitocybe odora(Bull.)P.Kumm.,mixed with Clitocybe phyllophila(Pers.)P.Kumm.,Atractosporocybe polaris Gulden & E.Larss.and Lepista panaeolus(Fr.)P.Karst.."Qiulubai" is mainly composed of Clitocybe robusta Peck,mixed with Lepista sordida(Schumach.)Singer.in addition,10 edible species were identifiedThe morphological descriptions and line drawings of 22 species combined with Keys to 22 species of "Taimo" were showed in this paper in order to provide a foundation for further researches of macrofungi resources in Wutai Mountain.
